Ordinance No. 1,215ORDINANCE NO. 1215 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: On the 16th day of May, 1972, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Baytown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: BEING a 17.8474 acre tract of land out of the Christian Smith Survey, A -69, Harris County Texas, and being north of the City of Baytown, Harris County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the existing City of Baytown city limit line, said point being the northernmost point of Kings Bend Subdivision, Section Two, as recorded in the Harris County Map Records in Volume 183, Page 25, said point lying on the centerline of Cary's Bayou; THENCE, south 8 °25'38" west a distance of 244.05 feet to a point; THENCE, in a northwesterly direction along a curve to the right, a distance of 261.09 feet to a point, said curve having a central angle of 28 °5'20" and a radius of 532.58 feet; THENCE, north 59 °29'2" west, a distance of 25.00 feet to a point; THENCE, south 30 °30'58" west, a distance of 60.00 feet to a point; THENCE, north 59 °29'2" west, a distance of 173.50 feet to a point; THENCE, south 31 °19'54" west, a distance of 106.07 feet, to a point on the westerly boundary of Kings Bend Subdivision, Section Two; THENCE, south 80 048'59" west, a distance of 451.31 feet to a point; THENCE, south 80 035'41" west, a distance of 266.66 feet to a point on the easterly right -of -way line of Raccoon Drive; THENCE, north 8 °11'50" west, along the easterly right -of -way line of Raccoon Drive a distance of 758.95 feet, more or less, to a point in the centerline of Cary's Bayou; THENCE, along the centerline meanders of Cary's Bayou as follows: North 83 °43' east North 89 °28'33" east North 78 °58'18" east North 84 °50'9" east North 63 °10'40" east North 68 °28'42" east South 71 °21'46" east South 53 °6'34" east South 46 °23'27" east South 74 °52'54" east South 62 °19'9" east South 44 °7' east South 34 °11'40" east South 69 °325" east South 58 °39'5" east South 31 °14'26" east North 87 °53'22" east South 82 0381" east South 50 °58'16" east to the POINT OF BEGINNING. - 33.83 feet - 87.33 feet - 81.89 feet - 84.47 feet - 142.17 feet - 116.82 feet - 68.90 feet - 62.89 feet - 74.95 feet - 70.67 feet - 52.77 feet - 48.01 feet - 70.04 feet - 77.20 feet 97.19 feet - 217.84 feet - 50.12 feet 51.86 feet - 69.15 feet Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the city and in the above described ter - ritory not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended).
