AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR INCREASED MUNICIPAL CONTRIBUTIONS
TO THE CURRENT SERVICE ANNUITY RESERVE AT RETIREMENT OF THE
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; REPEALING ORDINANCES
INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That effective January 1, 1972, for each month of Current
Service thereafter rendered by each of its employees who are members of the
Texas Municipal Retirement System, the City will contribute to the current
service annuity reserve of each such member at the time of his retirement,
a sum that is two hundred per cent (200 %) of such member's accumulated de-
posits for such month of employment; and said sum shall be contributed from
the City's account in the Municipality Current Service Accumulation Fund.
Section 2: Repealing Clause: All ordinances or parts of ordi-
nances inconsistent with the terms of this o
provided, however, that such repeal shall be
inconsistency and in all other respects this

by this ordinance.
Section 3: Savings Clause: If any
^dinance are hereby repealed;
only to the extent of such
ordinance shall be cumulative

application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any
reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall
not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or
their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this
end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City
