AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 936 ENTITLED "AN
ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED 'AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, TO BE
KNOWN AS THE "TRAFFIC CODE OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN"; RE-
GULATING TRAFFIC ON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN; WORDS AND PHRASES DEFINED; AUTHORITY OF POLICE;
DRIVING REGULATIONS -RULES OF THE ROAD; TURNING AND
STARTING SIGNALS ON STOPPING AND TURNING; ACCIDENTS,
RECKLESS DRIVING, STARTING PARKED VEHICLES; TRAFFIC AND
PEDESTRIAN SIGNALS; PEDESTRIANS' RIGHTS AND DUTIES;
PARKING REGULATIONS, SPECIAL STOPS REQUIRED; MISCELLANEOUS
DRIVING RULES; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PRESCRIBING A MAXIMUM PENALTY
OF TWO HUNDRED ($200.00) DOLLARS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF', BEING ORDINANCE
NO. 752, PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
ON THE 26TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1965, BY AMENDING SECTION 1
THEREOF, PERTAINING TO THE SPEED LIMIT ON PARK STREET, A
PUBLIC STREET WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BAY -
TOWN, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That Section 1 of said Ordinance No. 936
pertaining to the amendment of Article III - Driving Regulations -
Speed, Section 22, of said Ordinance No. 752, passed by the City
Council of the City of Baytown on the 26th day of August, 1965,
shall be amended by the addition of number 7, Park Street, to
sub - section (c), so as to read as follows, to -wit:
Section 22:
(c) 45 Miles Per Hour S eed Zones
7. Park Street between its intersection
with Burleson Street and 4/10 of a
mile East of its intersection with
San Jacinto Street.
Section 2: Except as herein amended, all of the terms
and provisions of said Ordinance No. 936 are continued in full
force and effect, as such ordinance amends Ordinance No. 752,
and any person violating any of the terms of said Ordinance No.
752 shall be subject to the penalties provided therein.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from
and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice by causing the
caption of this ordinance to be published in the official news-
paper of the City of Baytown at least twice prior to the effective
date thereof.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by an affirmative vote of
the City Council of the City of Baytown, on this the 27th day of
July, 1971.

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY
OF BAYTOWN TO APPROPRIATE FOUR THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED
THIRTY DOLLARS AND NO /100 ($4,930.00) FROM COUNCIL
CONTINGENCY 101 -7 -12 TO CLASSIFICATION NO. 202 -5 -4
IN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
THAT the City Manager of the City of Baytown is
authorized and directed to transfer FOUR THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED
THIRTY DOLLARS AND N01100 ($4,930.00) from Account No. 101 -7 -12,
"Council Contingency" to Fire Department Account No. 202 -5 -4,
"Maintenance Motor Vehicles" for revamping the aerial truck.
