Ordinance No. 1,097ORDINANCE NO. 1097 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ACCEPTING THE BID OF CAN -TEX INDUSTRIES FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 250,000 GALLON PER DAY PREFABRICATED, FIELD ERECTED, SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT BY THE CITY OF THE SUM OF FIFTY -SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY -SEVEN AND NO /100 ($56,727.00) DOLLARS WITH REGARD TO SUCH ACCEPTANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby accepts the bid of Can -Tex Industries for the purchase of a 250,000 gallon per day prefabricated, field erected, sewage treatment plant, and authorizes the payment by the City of a sum not to exceed FIFTY -SIX THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY -SEVEN AND NO /100 ($56,727.00) DOLLARS to such company with regard to the acceptance of such bid. The City Council has elected to substitute centrifugal blowers instead of the blowers submitted with the Can -Tex bid. The award of this bid is conditioned upon State Health Department approval of the Can -Tex Industries treatment plant, and the company's assurances that the treatment plant will be installed fifteen (15) weeks from the date this bid is awarded. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
