AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO
APPROPRIATE TWO HUNDRED TWENTY -TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED
NINETY -NINE AND 17 1100 ($222,599.17) DOLLARS FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED SURPLUS GENERAL FUND TO CLASSIFICATIONS
301 -9 -8 AND 101 -7 -11.
WHEREAS, the sum of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY -THREE THOUSAND ONE
HUNDRED FOURTEEN AND 17/100 ($153,114.17) DOLLARS was heretofore
earmarked for the 1969 -1970 Street Improvement Program, but such
sum was not officially encumbered at the end of the City's 1969 -1970
fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to officially encumber
and transfer such funds to the appropriate account; and
WHEREAS, in order to cure a deficiency in the 1965 Capital
Improvements, Street Fund, the City desires to transfer the sum of
SIXTY -NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY -FIVE AND NO /100 ($69,485.00)
DOLLARS to such account; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
That the City Manager of the City of Baytown, Texas, is
hereby authorized to appropriate TWO HUNDRED TWENTY -TWO THOUSAND FIVE
HUNDRED NINETY -NINE AND 17/100 ($222,599.17) DOLLARS from the Unap-
propriated Surplus General Fund to the following budget classifications,
to -wit:
Account No. 301 -9 -8 "Capital Outlay, Street Improvements" $153,114.17
Account No. 101 -13 "Transfer to Other Funds" (1965
Capital Improvements, Streets) 69,485.00
TOTAL $222,599.17
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City
Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, on this the 11th day of March, 1971.
