AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF BAYTOWN BY EXCLUDING CERTAIN TERRITORY NOW INCLUDED
WITHIN THE LIMITS OF SAID CITY; SAID AREA SO EXCLUDED
THEREFROM BEING A TEN (10') FOOT STRIP OF LAND ALONG
STATE FARM - MARKET HIGHWAY 2354, ALL OF THE TERRITORY
COVERED BY THIS ORDINANCE BEING IN CHAMBERS COUNTY,
TEXAS; ALL AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THIS
ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the following described land and
territory heretofore included within the boundary limits of
the City of Baytown be, and the same is hereby, excluded from
the City of Baytown, and that said territory hereinafter des-
cribed shall henceforth be excluded from the boundary limits of
said City and shall not hereafter be included within nor con-
stitute a part of the territory comprising the City of Baytown,
and the present limits of said City at the various points con-
tiguous to the area hereinafter described are altered and amended
so as to exclude said area from the corporate limits of the City
of Baytown, to -wit:
COMMENCING at a point in the westerly right -of -way
line of State Farm - Market Highway No. 2354, said point
being marked by a 5/8 inch iron rod having a Texas
Plane co- ordinate value of x= 3,315,954.08; y= 710,156.88
and being located S.54 009'22 "W. a distance of 340.90
feet from a United States Steel Company concrete monu-
ment identified as No. 8 -92 which has a Texas Plane
co- ordinate value of x= 3,316,230.34; y= 710,356.45;
THENCE, in a southeasterly direction across State Farm -
Market Highway No. 2354, perpendicular to the westerly
right -of -way line of said State Highway 2354, a distance
of 110 feet to the westerly line of the existing City
of Baytown 10 foot strip to a point, said point being
the POINT OF BEGINNING;
THENCE, continuing in &-s-outheasterly direction, across
State Farm - Market Highway No. 2354, a distance of 10
feet to a point in the easterly right -of -way line of
State Farm - Market Highway No. 2354, said point also
being in the easterly line of the existing City of
Baytown 10 foot strip;

THENCE, in a southwesterly direction along the easterly
right-of-way line of State Farm-Market Highway No. 2354
and also along the easterly line of the existing City
of Baytown 10 foot strip a distance of 402.,34 feet to
a point;
THENCE, in a northwesterly direction, perpendicular
to the easterly right-of-way line of State Farm-Market
Highway No. 2354, a distance of 10 feet to a point in
the westerly line of the existing City of Baytown 10
foot strip;
THENCE, in a northwesterly direction along the westerly
line of the existing City of Baytown 10 foot strip a
distance of 402.34 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Section 2: That the above described tract shall
henceforth be excluded from the corporate limits of the City
of Baytown, and the Ci ty 1 imi is of said Ci ty are hereby amended,
fixed and determined so as to exclude said area from said City.
Section 3: That this ordinance shall take effect
from and afte,r its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown, Texas.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote
of the City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 9th day
of July, 1970.
