AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CER-
TAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; AU-
THORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BAYTOWN:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
Section 1: On the 11th day of September, 1969,
at 6:30 o'clock p.m., in the City Council Chamber of the City
Hall of the City of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will
hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right
to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City
of Baytown, Texas, of two tracts of land known as Chaparral
Village, to -wit:
Section One (1), being 35.135 acres of land
out of the J.W. Singleton Survey, Abstract
709 and D.M.McFadden Survey, Abstract 591,
and Chaparral Village, Section Two (2),
being 21.562 acres of land out of the J. W.
Singleton Survey, Abstract 709 and D. M.
McFadden Survey, Abstract 591.
Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown
is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such
public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having
general circulation in the City and in the above described
territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days
prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance
with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the
58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a,
Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended.)
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from

and after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative
vote of the City Council of the City of Baytown this 21st
day of August, 1969.
