Ordinance No. 985ORDINANCE NO. 985 0 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CER- TAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; AU- THORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BAYTOWN: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Section 1: On the 11th day of September, 1969, at 6:30 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Baytown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: BEING a 24.15 acre tract of land out of the Christian Smith Survey, A -69, Harris County, Texas and being Northeast of the City of Baytown, Harris County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: COMMENCING at the intersection of the North Right -of- Way line of Massey Tompkins Road and the Northwesterly Right -of -way line of State Highway 146; THENCE, South 800 30' West along the North Right -of -way line of Massey Tompkins Road a distance of 518.80 feet to a point; THENCE, South 800 30' 29" West along the South line of a 12 foot utility easement conveyed to Joe Aylor by the Claude Tompkins Estate,Inc., a distance of 12.00 feet to a point; THENCE, North 090 30' West along the West line of said 12 foot easement to its intersection with the North line of Baytown City limits, a distance of 200.00 feet to a point, said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING of the tract herein described; THENCE, North 090 30' West, continuing along the West line of said 12 foot utility easement to its intersec- tion with the South line of a 41.1'57 acre tract of land previously conveyed to Joe Aylor, et al by Claude Tompkins a distance of 140.00 feet to a point; f THENCE, North 800 30' 29" East along the South line of said 41.157 acre tract a distance of 74.42 feet to a point; THENCE, North 090 29' 31" West with the East line of the tract herein described, said line also being the East line of said 41.157 acre tract, a distance of 508.80 feet to a point; THENCE, North 12° 28' 22" East with the East line of the tract herein described said line also being the East line of said 41.157 acre tract, a distance of 321.95 feet to a point in the South Bank of Careys Bayou for the Northeast corner of the tract herein described; THENCE, South 810 10' 42" West with the North line of the Aylor 41.157 acre tract and the South Bank of Careys Bayou, a distance of 101.78 feet to a point; THENCE, North 710 37' 15" West continuing with the North line of the Aylor 41.157 acre tract and the South Bank of Careys Bayou, a distance of 96.31 feet to a point; said point being the most Southeasterly corner of a 19.982 acre tract owned by the same Joe Aylor; THENCE, North 70 °10'45" West, with the North line of the Aylor 19.982 acre tract, a distance of 95.0 feet to a point in the centerline of Careys Bayou; THENCE, with the North line of the Aylor 19.982 acre tract, also being the centerline meanders of Careys Bayou as follows: North 73 03146" West 60.0 feet South 870 36'53" West 84.28 feet South 70 011'32" West 76.46 feet South 550 35' 51" West 110.0 feet North 73° 5' 30" West 154.66 feet North 640 55' 5" West 125.43 feet North 550 49' 44" West 80.75 feet North 820 43' 28" West 40.67 feet South 55° 51'44" West 43.80 feet South 340 29' 45" West 100.29 feet South 380 30' West 66.92 feet to a point in the center line of Careys Bayou, for the Northwest corner of the tract herein described; THENCE, South 09° 29' 31" East with the West line of the tract herein described, passing at 90.27 feet the South line of the abovementioned 19.982 acre tract, a total distance of 948.67 feet to a point in the South line of the previously mentioned 41.157 acre tract; THENCE, South 800 20' 32" West with the South line of previously mentioned 41.157 acre tract, a distance of 14.42 feet to a point; THENCE, South 090 30' West a distance of 140.00 feet to a point in the North line of the Baytown City limits; THENCE, North 800 30' 29" East with the North line of the Baytown City limits a distance of 900.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. -2- AMR,, E Section 2o The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended).
