Ordinance No. 962ORDINANCE NO. 962 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN BY EXCLUDING CERTAIN TERRITORY NOW INCLUDED WITHIN THE LIMITS OF SAID CITY; SAID AREA SO EXCLUDED THEREFROM COMPRISING APPROXIMATELY 5.62 ACRES AND BEING A TEN (10) FOOT STRIP OF LAND ALONG A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY AND A CERTAIN PORTION OF FARM - MARKET ROAD 1942, ALL OF THE TERRITORY COVERED BY THIS ORDINANCE BEING IN CHAMBERS-COUNTY, TEXAS; ALL AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BAYTOWN: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Section 1: That the following described land and territory heretofore included within the boundary limits of the City of Baytown be, and the same is hereby, excluded from the City of Baytown, and that said territory hereinafter des- cribed shall henceforth be excluded from the boundary limits of said City and shall not hereafter be included within nor constitute a part of the territory comprising the City of Baytown, and the present limits of said City at the various points contiguous to the area hereinafter described are al- tered and amended so as to exclude said area from the corporate limits of the City of Baytown, to -wit: BEGINNING at a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown, said point being more fully described as being on the Southeasterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad at a distance of 10 feet North of the South right of way line of State Highway No. 73 (Interstate Highway 10); THENCE, in a Northeasterly direction along the South- easterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, a distance of 14,135.34 feet to a point for corner, said point being 10 feet Northwest of the Southeasterly right of way line of State Farm - Market Highway No. 1942, the 10 feet being measured perpendicularly to the Southeasterly right of way line of the highway; THENCE, in a Southwesterly and Westerly direction, 10 feet from and parallel to the South right of way line of State Farm Market Highway No. 1942, a dis- tance of approximately 13,100 feet to a point for corner, said point being at the intersection of the described line and the West line of the Cedar Bayou stream; "Aldo, THENCE, in a Southerly direction a distance of 10 feet to the South right of way line of State Farm Market Highway 1942 and a point for corner; THENCE, in an Easterly and Northeasterly direction along the South right of way line of State Farm Market Highway No. 1942, a distance of approximately 13,090 feet to a point for corner, said point being 10 feet West of the Easterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad; THENCE, in a Southerly direction, 10 feet from and parallel to the Easterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad, a distance of approxi- mately 14,125.34 feet to a point for corner on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown, said point being 10 feet North of the South right of way line of State Highway No. 73 (Interstate Highway 10); THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown, a distance of 11.05 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Section 2: That the above described tract shall henceforth, be excluded from the corporate limits of the City of Baytown, and the City limits of said City are hereby amended, fixed and determined so as to exclude said area from said City. Section 3: That this ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 13th day of March, 1969.
