Ordinance No. 963ORDINANCE NO. 963 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BAYTOWN : BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF Section 1: On the 24 th day of April , 1969, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Baytown, Texas, of the following described pro- perty, to -wit: BEGINNING at a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown, said point being more fully described as being on the West bank line of Cedar Bayou at a distance of 10 feet North of the South right of way line of State Highway No. 73 (Interstate Highway 10); THENCE, in a generally Northwesterly direction, fol- lowing the meanders of the West bank of Cedar Bayou, to a point of intersection with the South right of way line of State Farm Market Highway No. 1942; and then continuing in a Northerly di- rection approximately 10 feet to a point for corner, said point being on the West bank line of Cedar Bayou at a distance 10 feet perpendi- cular from the South right of way line of State Farm Market Highway No. 1942; THENCE, in an Easterly direction approximately 10 feet to a point for corner, said point being 10 feet perpendicularly from the West bank line of Cedar Bayou; THENCE, in a generally Southeasterly direction, 10 feet from and parallel to the meanderings of the West bank line of Cedar Bayou, to a point 10 feet from the South right of way line of State Highway No. 73 (Interstate Highway 10) ; J/Pim", THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction, 10 feet from and parallel to the South right of way line of State Highway No. 73 (Interstate Highway 10), a distance of approximately 10 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. BEING a strip of land 10 feet wide and approximately 35,900 feet long, containing approximately 8.24 acres. Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended.) Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of Baytown this the 27th day of March, 1969.
