ORDINANCE N0. 845
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BOUNDARY L114ITS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
BY EXCLUDING CERTAIN TERRITORY NOW INCLUDED WITHIN THE MUTS OF
SAID CITY; SAID AREA SO EXCLUDED THEREMY, BEING IN HARRIS COUNTY,
TEXAS, ALL AS hORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BNYTOWN:
Section : That the following described land and territory heretofore included
within the boundary limits of the City of Baytown be and the same is hereby ex-
cluded from the City of Baytown and that said territory hereinafter described shall
henceforth be excluded from the boundary limits of said City and shall not here-
after be included within nor constitute a part of the territory comprising the City
of Baytown, and the present limits of said City at the various points continguous
to the area hereinafter described are altered and amended so as to exclude said
area from the corporate limits of the City of Baytown, to -wit:
TRAM
BEGINNING at a point on the existing City Limit line of the City of Baytown,
paid point being more fully described as being on the North right -of -may line
of Interstate Highway No. 10 at its intersection with the East right- of-way
line of the Crosby- Lynchburg Road;
THENCE, Easterly with the North right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No. 10
to the Westerly shore of Cedar Bayou Stream, and continuing with an extension
of the North right -of -way line of Interstate No. 10 to the centerline of
Cedar Bayou Stream;
THENCE, Southerly with the centerline of Cedar Bayou Stream to a point which is
ten feet perpendicularly from the South right -of -way line of Interstate Highway
No, 10;
THENCE, Westerly, ten feet from and parallel to the South right -of -way line of
Interstate Highway No. 10 to a point of intersection with the East right -of-
way line of the Crosby- Lynchburg Road as projected across Interstate Highway
No. 10;
THENCE, Northerly with the Fast right -of -way line of the Crosby - Lynchburg Road
as projected across Interstate Highway No. 10 to its intersection with the
North right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No. 10 at the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Being a tract of land containing 317 acres, all within the right -of -way of
Interstate Highway No. 10; but
THERE IS EXCEPTED FROM THE ABOVE:
BEGINNING at a point on the Southeasterly right -of -way line of the Southern
Pacific Railroad as projected across the right -o$ -way of Interstate Highway No. 10
at a distance ten feet perpendicularly from the South right -of -way line of
the Highway:
THENCE, in a >Noutheasterly direction along the projected Southeast right -of -way
line of the Southern Pacific Railroad to a point of intersection with the North
right -of -way line of the Highway;
TH_ CE, in a Westerly direction along the North right -of -way line of the
Highway approximately 11.05 feet to a point which is ten feet perpendicularly
from the Southeast right- of-imy line of the Railroad;
THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction ten feet from and parallel to the South+
east right -.of -way line of the Railroad to a point which is ten .feet perpendicu-
larly from the South right -of -way line of the Highway;
THENCE, in an Easterly direction ten feet from and parallel to the South
right -of -tray line of the Highway approximately 11.05 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
Being a strip of land ten feet wide extending from a point ten feet North of
the South right- of -taay line of Interstate Highway No. 10 to the North right -of-
way line of Interstate Highway No. 10, and abutting the East right -of -way line
of the Southern Pacific Railroad as projected across the Highway.
TRACT TWO
BEGINNING at a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown,
said point being more fully described as being on the Westerly right -of -,way line
of the Crosby - Lynchburg Road at its intersection with the South right -of -way
line of Interstate Highway No. 10;

to a line which is parallel to and 2500 feet from the centerline of the
Houston Ship Channel;
THENCE, Southeasterly with the line which is parallel to and 2500 feet from
the centerline of the Houston Ship Channel to a point which is ten feet per-
pendicularly from the East right -of -way line of the Crosby - Lynchburg Road;
THENCE, Northerly, ten feet from and parallel, to the East right -of -way line of
the Crosby-Lynchburg Road, to a point on the South right -of -way line of
Interstate Highway No. 10;
THENCE, Westerly along the South right -of -way lane of interstate Highway No. 10
as projected across the Crosby - Lynchburg Road to its intersection with the
Westerly right -of -way line of the Crosby - Lynchburg Road at the POINT OF
BEGINNING.
Being a tract of land containing 55 acres, all within the right -of -way of
the Crosby - Lynchburg Road.
TRACT THREE
BEGINNING AT a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown,
said point being more fully described as being on the Easterly shore of the
San Jacinto River at a distance ten feet North of the South right -of -way line
of State Highway No. 90;
THENCE, Northerly with the Easterly shore of the San Jacinto River to its
intersection with the North right -of -way line of State Highway No, 90;
THENCE, Easterly and North %easLt MIM the North right -of -way line of State Highway
No 90 to the Westerly shore of Cedar Bayou Stream;
THENCE, Southerly with the meanders of the Westerly shore of Cedar Bayou Stream
to a point which is ten feet perpendicularly from the South right -of -way line
of State Highway No. 90;
THENCE, Southwesterly and Westerly, ten feet from and parallel to the South
right -of -way line of State Highway No. 90, to an intersection with the Easterly
shore of the San Jacinto River at the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Being a tract of land containing 107 acres, all within the right -of -way of
State Highway No. 90.
TRACT FOUR
BEGINNING at a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown,
sa%d point being more fully described as being on the Westerly right -of -way line
of the Crosby - Lynchburg Road at its intersection with the South right -of -way

THENCE, Southerly with the Westerly right -of -way line of the Crosby - Lynchburg
Road, to its intersection with the North right -of. -way line of Interstate Highway
No� 10;
THENCE, Westerly with the North right -of -way line of Interstate Highway No, 10
to its intersection with the Easterly shore line of the San Jacinto River;
THENCE, Southerly with the Easterly shore line of the San Jacinto River to a point
which is ten feet perpendicularly from the South right -.o €-way line of Inter-
state Highway No. 10;
THENCE, Easterly, ten feet from and parallel to the South right -of -way line of
Interstate Highway No. 10, to a point which is ten feet West of the East right -
of -way line of the Crosby - Lynchburg Road as projected across Interstate Highway
No. 10;
THENCE, Northerly, ten feet from and parallel to theEast right -of -way line of
the Crosby - Lynchburg Road as projected across Interstate Highway No. 10,
and continuing in the same direction ten feet from and parallel to the East
right -of -way line of the Crosby - Lynchburg Road to a point where the line inter-
sects the South right- of -wray lim of State Highway No. 90;
TMCE, Southwesterly along the South right-of-way line of State Highway No. 90,
as projected across the Crosby - Lynchburg Road to an intersection with the
Westerly right -of -way line of the Crosby-Lynchburg Road at the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Being a tact of land containing 14 acres.
Section 2: That the above described tract shall hereceforth be excluded
from the Corporate Limits of the City of Baytown, and the City Limits of said
City are hereby amended, fixed and determined so as to exclude said area from
said City.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage
by the City Council of the City of Raytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the
City Council on this the 22nd day of November, 1966.
