AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE, "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES AND
REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE PLATTING OR REPLATTING OF LAND INTO SUB-
DIVISIONS IN THE CITY OF BAYTOWN AND REQUIRING PLATS AND REPLATS TO
CONFORM TO SUCH RULES AND REGULATIONS IN ORDER TO PROCURE THE APPROVAL
OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION, CITY OF BAYTOWN; PRESCRIBING A MAXI-
MUM PENALTY OF TWO HUNDRED ($200.00) DOLLARS; REPEALING ORDINANCES
INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF," BEING ORDINANCE NO. 723, PASSED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN ON THE 23RD DAY OF JULY,
1964, by DELETING 5.03 THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That Section 5.03 shall be deleted from Ordinance No. 723,
which section readsas follows:
5.03 SIDEWALKS: Four foot wide (4') sidewalks shall be provided
in all subdivisions. Sidewalks will be required in front
and street side of all lots. Exceptions to this requirement
may be granted by the Planning Commission, where a sidewalk
along the side of a corner lot would serve no useful purpose.
Section 2: That all the terms and provisions of the said Ordinance No.
723, passed by the City Council of the City of Baytown on the 23rd day of July,
1964, are hereby continued in full force and effect and any person violating any
of the terms of the ordinance shall be subject to the penalties provided therein.
Section 3: Effective Date: This ordinance shall take effect from and
after ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is here-
by directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be
published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice prior
to the effective datethereof.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by a majority of the City Council of the
