Ordinance No. 798w ORDINANCE NO. 798 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PIACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: June Section 1: On the 9th day of 11W, 1966, at 6:30 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Baytown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Baytown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: TRACT ONE BEGINNING at a point on the existing City limits line of the City of Baytown, said point being more fully described as being on the West right -of-way line of the Farm Market Road which is an extension of Farm Market Road No. 2354 from Farm Market Road No. 565 to State Highway No. 73, at a distance of 9,240 feet South of State Highway No. 73; THENCE, in a Southerly direction along the West right -of -way line of said Farm Market Road, crossing Farm Market Road No. 565, and con- tinuing along the West right -of -way line of Farm Market Road No. 2354, a total distance of 10,560 feet to a point for corner; THENCE, in an Easterly direction perpendicular to the West right -of- Way line of Farm Market Road No. 2354, a distance of 10 feet to a point for corner; THENCE, in a Northerly direction 10 feet from and parallel to the West right -of -way line of Farm Market Road No. 2354 and Farm Market Road No. 2354 extension, a distance of 10,560 feet to a point for corner on the existing City limit line; THENCE, in a Westerly direction perpendicular to the West right -of -way line of Farm Market Road No. 2354 extension, a distance of 10 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. TRACT TWO BEGINNING at a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown, said point being more fully described as a point on the South- easterly right -of -way line of the Tri -City Beach Road, also known as Farm Market Road No. 2354, a distance of 21,060 feet in an Easterly direction from the point where the mean high tide line of the Westerly shoreline of Ash Lake intersects with the Northeasterly right -of -way line of Tri -City Beach Road; said distance being measured along the Northerly right -of -way line of Tri -City Beach Road for 10,560 feet, then crossing to the Southerly right -of -way line, and continuing along the Southerly right -of -way line for the remaining 10,500 feet; THENCE, in a Northerly direction along the Southeasterly right -of -way line of Tri -City Beach Road, a distance of 10,560 feet to a point for corner; THENCE, in a Westerly direction, perpendicular to the Easterly right - of -way line of Tri -City Beach Road, a distance of 10 feet to a point for corner; THENCE, in a Southerly direction 10 feet from and parallel to the Easterly right -of -way line of Tri -City Beach Road, a distance of 10,560 feet to a point for corner on the existing City limit line; THENCE, in an Easterly direction perpendicular to the East right -of- way line of Tri -City Beach Road, a distance of 10 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended.) Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its adoption. INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the City Council of the City of Baytown this 25th day of May, 1966.
