NO. 743, PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOUN, ON THE 11TH DAY OF MARCH, 1965, BY AMENDING SECTION 20, SUBSECTION l THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND 5FF2CTIVZ THZR.EOF. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 743 was passed by the City Council of the City of Baytown on March 11, 1965; and 'ifiEtiEAS, such Ordinance is generally referred to as the Electrical Ordinance; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable to make an amendment to Section 20, Subsection (1) of said Ordinance No. 743, NOW THEROFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTGWN: Section 1: That Ordinance No. 743 is hereby amended and as amended shall read as follows: "Section 201 Standards and Special Re uirements: (1) All electrical construction and all materials and appliances used in connection with the installation, maintenance and operation of electrical wiring, apparatus or equipment for the utilization of electrical energy for light, heat or power, inside the limits of the City of Baytown, shall conform to such special rules and regulations of the National Electrical Code, 1965, and the Houston Lighting and kower Company's meter loop specifications, save and except amendments to the National Electrical Code as hereinafter listed and designated specifically. Evidence that electric equipment is suitably safe to persons and property is solely based upon Underwriters Laboratories approval.'' SAW 2,: That any words, phrases and paragraphs heretofore published that conflict with the terms of this amendment are hereby repealed, However, all other terms and provisions of said Ordinance No. 743, passed byN#he City Council of the City of Baytown on the filth day of March, 1965/ are hereby continued in full force and effect and any person violating any of the terms of said ordinance dhall be subject to the penalties provided therein. -0 §qSJJ,0Z 3: L: f ct a Date: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed jo give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the Official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten days after the passage of this ordinance.
