Ordinance No. 774ORDINANCE NO. 774 AN ORDINANCE SETTING .4 DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR H PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSES ANNEXA- TION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF BAY - TOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE. OF SUCH PUBLIC, HEARING AND PROVIDING FOR THi EFFECTIVE DATE: T ER EOF . BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOUN: Section 1: On the 24th day of February, 1966, at 6:30 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Bay- town, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Baytown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: ANNEXATION of a two mile strip extended Northeasterly along the Southeasterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad from the point of intersection with the existing City of Baytown limits line on the Southern right of way line of Route 73 (Interstate Highway No. 10), con- taining 2.424 acres. BEGINNING at a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown, said point being more fully described as the intersection of the South right of way line of State Highway No. 73 ( Interstate Highway No. 10) and the South- easterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad; THENCr:, in a Northeasterly direction along the Southeasterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad a distance of 10,555.34 feet to a point for corner; THENCE, in a Northwesterly direction, perpendicular to the Southeasterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Rail- road a distance of 10 feet to a point for corner; THENCE, in a Southwesterly direction 10 feet from and paral- lel to the Southeasterly right of way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad a distance of 10,564.66 feet to a point on the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown; THENCE, in a Southeasterly direction along the existing City limit line of the City of Baytown, a distance of 11.05 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Section 2: The City Clerk of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the above described territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the 14unicipal annexation Act (Chapter 160, i"cts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended.)
