ORDINANCE NO. 713
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF BAYTOWN BY EXCLUDING CERTAIN TERRITORY NOW INCLUDED
WITHIN THE LIMITS OF SAID CITY; SAID AREA SO EXCLUDED
THEREFROM BEING IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, ALL AS MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE PUBLICATION AND PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE IN
THE MANNER PROVIDED IN ARTICLE ONE, SECTION NINE, OF THE
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section 1: That the following described land and territory heretofore included
within the boundary limits of the City of Baytown be and the same is hereby excluded
from the City of Baytown and that said territory hereinafter described shall henceforth
be excluded from the boundary limits of said City and shall not hereafter be included
within nor constitute a part of the territory comprising the City of Baytown, and the
present limits of said City at the various points continguous to the area hereinafter
described are altered and amended so as to exclude said area from the corporate limits
of the City of Baytown, to-wits
TRACT I.
BEGINNING at the intersection of the Easterly right of way line of Tri
City Beach Road and the South line of a 326.50 acre tract of land owned
by J. H. Phalen, A. M. Phalen, Randolph Mead and D °Arty M. Cashin;
THENCE, Northeasterly - with the South line of the abovementioned tract
to the Southeast corner of the said tract, said corner being located in
the Westerly shore of Cedar Bayou Stream at the Bayou Bend known as
"Devil's Elbow "';
THENCE, downstream - following the meanders of the mean high tide line of
the Westerly shore of Cedar Bayou Stream to the point of intersection with
the mean high tide line of the North Shore of Negro Head Lake;
THENCE, Northerly, Westerly, Southerly, Easterly and Northerly with the
mean high tide line of Negro Head Lake to the mean high tide lane of Cedar
Bayou Stream;
THENCE, downstream - following the meanders of the mean high tide line of
the Westerly shore of Cedar Bayou Stream to the point of intersection with
the mean high tide line of the Southerly shore of Ash Lake;
THENCE, Northeasterly, Easterly, Northwesterly, Westerly and Southerly -
following the mean high tide line of the shoreline of Ash Lame to the point
of intersection of the Westerly shoreline of Ash Lake with the Northeasterly
right of way line of Tri -City Beach Road;
THENCE, Northwesterly and Northerly with the East right of way line of Tri -
City Beach Road to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
TRACT II.
BEGINNING at a point in line with the South line of a 326.50 acre tract of
land owned by J. H. Phalen, A. M. Phalen, Randolph Mead and D °Arcy M. Cashin,
said point being ten feet Westerly and perpendicular to the Easterly right
of way line of Tri -City Beach Road;

THENCE, Southerly and Southeasterly - parallel to and ten feet from the
Easterly right of way line of Tri -City Beach Road to the mean high tide
line of the shoreling of Ash Lake-,
THENCE, Southwesterly, Westerly and Northwesterly - following the mean
high tide line of the shoreline of Ash Lake and Cedar Bayou Stream to
the point of intersection of said shoreline with the mean high tide line
of the Northeasterly shoreline of Galveston Bay;
THENCE, in a Northerly direction - following the mean high tide line of
the Northeasterly shoreline of Galveston Bay to the point of intersection
of said shoreline with the South line of the aforementioned 326.50 acre
tract of lands
THENCE, Northeasterly - with the South line of the aforementioned tract
of land to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Section 2: That the above described tract shall henceforth be excluded from the
Corporate Limits of the City of Baytown, and the City Limits of said City are hereby
amended, fixed and determined so as to exclude said area from said City.
Section 3: That this ordinances upon and after its introduction, shall be pub-
lished and finally acted upon in the manner provided in Article One, Section Nine, of
the Charter of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the City
Council on this the 19th day of December, 1963.
