AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RATE AND TAX LEVY FOR THE
CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 1964, UPON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN
SAID CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
LAW'S OF THE STATE OF TEXAS AND THE CHARTER PROVISIONS
AND ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDIN-
ANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That there shall be and is hereby levied and shall be assessed and
collected for the year ending September 30, 1964, an ad valorem tax of One & 86 /100
($1.86) Dollars on each One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars worth of property located within
the present city limits of the City of Baytown, made taxable by law, which said taxes,
when collected, shall be apportioned among funds and departments of City Government of
the City of Baytown and for the purposes hereinafter set forth as follows, to -wit:
For the General Fund:

For the purpose of paying the accruing interest
and to provide a sinking fund for the payment of
the bonded indebtedness of the City of Baytown. .345

Section 2; The ad valorem tax rate of One and Eighty -Six One Hundred ($1.86) Dol-
lars, as set forth in Section 1, is hereby levied and shall be assessed and collected
on only Fifty (507) Percent of each One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars worth of property lo-
cated within Baytown, as valued by the Equalization Board for the City of Baytown and
made taxable by law.
Section 3: The City Tax Assessor and Collector of the City of Baytown is hereby
directed to assess, extend and enter upon the Tax Rolls of the City of Baytown, Texas,
for the Current Year, the amounts and rates herein levied, and to keep a correct account
of same, and when so collected, the same to be deposited in the depository of the City
of Baytown, to he distributed in accordance with this ordinance.
Section 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are express-
ly repealed.
READ, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the City
Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, at a regular meeting held at City Hall on Septem-
ber 12, 1963.
