Ordinance No. 633ORDINANCE NO. 633 • AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL YEAR, BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1%1, AND END- ING SEPTEMBER 30, 1%2, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER AND ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDIN- ANCE. WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Baytown has submitted to the City Council a budget estimate of the revenues of said City and the expenses of conduct- ing the affairs thereof for the ensuing fiscal year, beginning October 1, 1961, and • ending the 30th day of September, 1962, and which said estimate has been compiled from detailed information obtained from the several departments, divisions and offices of the City, containing all the information as required by the Charter of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received said City Manager's estimate and held a public hearing thereon so provided by Section 44 of the Charter; and WHEREAS, after a full and final consideration of the public hearing, it is the opinion of the Council that the budget as filed should be approved and adopted, NOW, THEREFORE, • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That the budget estimate of the revenues of the City of Baytown and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof for the ensuing fiscal year, be- ginning October 1, 1961, and ending September 30, 1962, as submitted to the City Council by the City Manager of said City be, and the same is, in all things adopted and approved as the budget estimate of all of the current expenses as well as the fixed charges against said City for the fiscal year beginning the 1st day of Octo- ber, 1961, and ending the 30th day of September, 1962. Section 2: That the sum of One Million Three Hundred & Nine Thousand Four Hundred Forty -Eight and No/100 ($1,309,448.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out • of the General Fund for the payment of Operating Expenses and Capital Outlay of the City Government as hereinafter itemized, to -wit: I• General Government Public Safety Highways & Roadways Waste Removal Conservation of Health Recreation Miscellaneous E 276,789.00 393.180,00_ 1 8 00 155.970 Q 39.7-35.00 32,650.00 97,282.00 Total 1 309 4 .00 Section 3: That the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Eight Hundred Sixteen and No /100 ($500,816.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the Water & Sewer Works for the operating expenses and capital outlay of the municipally owned Water and Sewer Works as hereinafter itemized, to -wit: Supply Transmission & Distribution Customers' Accounting and Collecting Stores Contingency Fund Sewers & Sewage Disposal Water Works Interest & Sinking Fund Total 59,662.00 123, 433. 0 69,966.00 21,411 „00 21.1991 96.340,00 115.805.00 $ 500.816.00 • Section 4: That the sum of Two Hundred Five Thousand Three Hundred Ninety - Eight and No /100 ($205,398.00) Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Interest and Sinking Fund for the purpose of paying the accruing interest and redeem- ing the Serial Bonds, as they mature, on the General Debt Service Bonds as herein- after itemized, to -wit: Serial Bond Maturities Interest Payments Exchange Section 5: That the sum of One • Three and No /100 ($117,993.00) Dollars Sewer Works Interest and Sinking Funds terest and redeeming the Serial Bonds, $ 114.000.00 91.048,00 350.00 Total $ 205.398.00 Hundred Seventeen Thousand Nine Hundred Ninety- is hereby appropriated out of the Water and for the purpose of paying the accruing in- as they mature, on the Water Works Debt Ser- vice Bonds as hereinafter itemized, to -wit: -2- Serial Bond Maturities 48 000.00 Interest Payments 47.096.00 Exchange 1 0.00 Bond Reserve Fund _ 160747 Contingency Fund 6,000.00 Total $ 117.993.00 Section 6: This ordinance shall be and remain in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval of the City Council, and it shall be published once each week for two consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in the City of Baytown.
