Ordinance No. 6060 ORD LANCE NO.__ _Q/ E AN ORDINANCE AMENDING, "AN ORDINANCE DEFINING rHE FIRE LDIITS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; REPEALING OR- D 1NA NCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING A Sz%rLR- ABILITY CLAUSE; AND CONTAINING THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF" HEING ORDINANCE NO. 4462 PASSED by THE CITY COUNCIL bF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN ON THE 26TH DAY OF SEPTMISER, 1957 BY ADDING TO SECTION 3 THM�EOF AN ADD ITIONAL TRACT OF LAND NHICH SHALT BE DESIGNATED AND KNOWN AS A PORTION OF FIRE LL „IIT AREA OR ZONE NO. 2 OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; REPEALING ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1. That Section 3 of said Ordinance No. 446 shall be amended by adding thereto sub- section "(E)” so as to include additional territory to the City of Baytown Fire Limit or Area No. 2, as follows, to --wit: • (E) Beginning at a point in the south yroporty line of "Benny Gray Addition ", said point being located westerly a distance of 100 feet from the west right -of -way line of State Highway Number 146 (Alexander Drive); Thence, from the point of beginnir;, northerly with a line that is parallel to and 100 feet from the westerly right- of-way line of State Highway Number 7146 to the south right- - of -way line of Bob Smith Road; Thence, easterly with the south right -of -way line of Bob Smith Road to the point of intersection of said Road � -iith the west right -of -way line of State Highway Number 146; Thence, southeasterly with a line that is perpendicular to the centerline of State Highway Number 146 to a Point that is situated southeasterly a distance of 160 feet from the centerline of State Highway 146, as measured at right angles; • Thence, southerly with a line that is parallel to and 100 feet from the east right -of -way line of State Highway Num- ber 146 to the north line of the Ashbel Smith Land company 1,423 acre tract of land; Thence, westerly, over and across State Highway Number 146 to the POINT OF BEGINNING. Section 2. Repealing Clause. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency, and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordi- nances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 3. Savings-Clause. If any provision, except on, section, sub- section, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the a ppli- ® cation of same to any person or set of circumstances shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void, or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their applica- tion to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end, all provisions • of this ordinance are declared to be severable, Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by a majority of the City Oouncil of the City of Baytown.
