AN ORDINANCE: EXERCISING RESERVED OPTION TO
REDEEM CERTAIN OUTSTANDING BONDS; PROVIDING
FOR GIVING NOTICES OF REDEMPTION; AND PROFID-
ING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM
AND AFTER ITS ADOPTION.

at the City Hall within said City on the 12th day of April, 1957, with the fol-
lowing members present, to -wit:

The Mayor introduced an ordinance iuiich was read in full. Councilman
Clayton made a motion that the ordinance be adopted as read. The motion for
adoption was seconded by Councilman h.iears, and carried by the following vote:

The ordinance thus adopted follows:
AN ORDINANCE EXERCISING RESERVED OPTION TO REDEU! CERTAIN
OUTSTANDING BONDS; PROVIDING FOR GIVING NOTICES OF REDEMP-
TION; AND PROVIDING THAT 'THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT
FROM AND A� TER TTS ADOPTION.
MiEREAS, there are now outstanding and unpaid the following waterworks
and sewer system-revenue bonds:
(a) Bonds Nos. 90 to 150, both inclusive, aggregating
$51,000, and Bonds Nos. 207 to 250, both inclusive, aggre-
gating $44,000, City of Goose Creek waterworks and Sewer
System Revenue Bonds, dated August 1, 1945, which bonds
are redeemable prior to maturity on August 1, 1955, or on
any interest payment date thereafter at par and accrued
interest to the date of redemption;
(b) Bonds Nos. 43 to 147, both inclusive, aggregating
• $105,000 Harris County Water Control and Improvement Dis-
trict No. 7 waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds,
Series 1945, dated 11arch 1, 1945, which bonds are redeem-
able prior to maturity on March 1, 1955, or on any interest

prices: Conds P.!os. 413/32 at par and accrued interest
to date of rederption, and Fonds Hos. 03/137 at par
and accrued interest to date of redemption plus a pre -
mium of 1% of the principal aiaount of the bonds called
for redemption;
(c) Coeds F.Ios. 21 to 60, both inclusive, aggregating
$40,000 Barris County. ! "ater Control and Improvement
District No. 7 !7aterworks and Sewer System Revenue fronds,
Series 1945., dated September 1, 1945, which bonds are
redeemaLle prior to maturity on September 1, 1957, or
on any interest payment date thereafter at par and
accrued interest plus a premium of I% of the principal
amount of the bonds called for redemption; and
(d) Bonds Pros. 20 to 90, both inclusive, aggregating
;63,000, Ilarris County , "ater Control and Improvement
District ho. 7 !'!aterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds,
Series 1946, dated December 1, 1946, which bonds are
redeemable prior to maturity on DecerIer 1, 1956, or on
any interest payment date thereafter at the following
redemption prices: Bonds Nos 26/30 at par and accrued
interest to date of redemption, and Donds Nos. 31/90
at par and accrued interest to date of redemption plus
a premium of 20% of the principal amount of the bonds
called for redemption;
IIIEREAS, since the issuance of said bonds: (a) said City of
Goose :.reek has been consolidated into the City of Laytown, and said
City of Caytown is the successor to said City of Goose Creel:; and (b)
the City of Pelly and the City of Eaytown (successor to City of Pelly)
sohave annexed territories and extended the boundaries of the City to

include all the territory of Ilarris County r "ater Control and Improve -
rent District ho. 7, has taken over all the properties and assets of
said District, has assur.,ed all the debts, liabilities, and obligations
of said District, and has abolished said District, and the described
bonds of said District are now the obligations of the City of Eaytown;
and
I,!EI`EI 'IS, said City of Laytown now desires to call said described
bonds for rederption on the dates indicated as follo►vs:

(a) The described bonds issued by the City of
Goose Creek, on August 1, 1957;
(b) The described bonds issued by Harris County
Plater Control and Improvement District No. 7:
(1) Series 1945 Bonds, on September 1, 1957;
(2) Series 1945A Bonds, on September 1, 1957; and
(3) Series 1946 Bonds, on June 1, 1957;
I:MEREAS, said City of Baytown wishes to authorize and direct
the giving of the required notices of redemption;

THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOI:�V :
Section 1: That the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby elects to exercise
the reserved options to redeem the bonds described in the preamble to this
ordinance on the dates indicated in such preamble, and the Mayor and the City
Clerk of said City are hereby authorized and directed to give notices in the
manner prescribed in the ordinances or orders authorizing the issuance of such
bonds and as prescribed in said bonds.
Section 2: That the notice of redemption pertaining to Bonds Nos. 90 to
150, both inclusive, and Bonds Nos. 207 to 250, both inclusive, City of Goose
Creek Waterworks and Seaver System Revenue [fonds, dated August 1, 1945, shall
be substantially in the form set forth in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and made
a part of this ordinance as though fully set forth herein.
Section 3: That the notice of redemption pertaining to Bonds Nos. 43 to
147, both inclusive, Harris.County 17ater Control and Improvement District No. 7
Vaterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, Series 1945, dated March 1, 1945,
shall be substantially in the form set forth in EXHIBIT G attached hereto and
made a part of this ordinance -as though fully set forth herein.
Section 4: That the notice of redemption pertaining to Bonds Nos. 21 to
60, both inclusive, Harris County Plater Control and Improvement District No. 7
llaterworks and Seaver System Revenue Bonds, Series 1945A, dated September 1, 1945,
shall be substantially in the form set forth in EXHIBIT C attached hereto and
made a part of this ordinance as though fully set forth herein.
Section 5: That the notice of redemption pertaining to Bonds Nos. 26 to 90,

both inclusive, Harris County plater Control and Improvement District No. 7 Water-
works and sewer System Revenue Bands, Series 1946, dated December 1, 1946, shall

part of this ordinance as though fully set forth herein.
Section 6: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force
fron and after its adoption.
