Ordinance No. 332U ORDINANCE N0, 332 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE "PROVIDING THAT ALL EMPLOYES OF ALL DEPARTMENTS, EXCEPT THE DEPART - MENT OF LAW, INCLUDING THE CITY MANAGER, OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN SHALL HEREBY AND HEREAFTER PARTICIPATE IN THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIRE 7M SYSTEM; PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF," BEING ORDINANCE NO. 145, PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN ON THE 7TH DAY OF MAY, 1952, BY ADDING THE LAW DEPARTMENT TO THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: THAT Sections 1 and 2 of said Ordinance No. 145 shall be amended and shall read as follows: "Section 1: THAT the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby elects to have all City employees of all departments, including the City Manager, to parti- cipate in the Texas Municipal Retirement System as provided in Article 6243h of is Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, and all the benefits and obligations as such system are hereby accepted. Section 2: THAT the City Manager is hereby directed to notify the Board of Trustees of the Texas Municipal Retirement System that the City of Baytown, Texas, has elected to participate and have the employees of the following departments and offices participate in such system: City Manager, City Clerk, City Recorder, Fire Marshall, Technical Inspection, Finance, Police, Fire, Public Vorks, Health, Re- creation,'Water and Law." THAT all other terms and provisions of the said Ordinance No. 145, passed by the City Council of the City of Baytown on the 7th day of May, 1952, are hereby continued in full force and effect. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council.
