Ordinance No. 319ORDINANCE NO. 319 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CITY OF BAYT04N'S ORDINANCES NOS. • 236, 238, 301 AND 314, SAID ORDINANCE BEING ORDINANCES PASSED ON FIRST READING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ANNEXING ADD- ITIONAL ADJACENT TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, ALL Cl.- " 'COF SUCH TERRITORY BEING DESCRIBED 1 ^1 SAID FOUR ORDINANCES AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND PASSAGE OF THIS ORDINANCE INT 'THE MANNER PROVIDED IN ARTICLE I, SECTION 9 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWNT: SECTION 1: Intent and Purpose of the inance, The City Council of the City of Baytown acting pursuant to Section 9 of Article I of the Charter of said City, after careful study and deliberation, is of the opinion and hereby declares that it is not necessary, at this time, to annex any portion of the additional adjacent territory described in City's Ordinances Nos. 236, 238, 301 and 314. • SECTION 2: That due to the fact that it is not now necessary to extend the limits of the City of Baytown, at this time, as described in said Ordinances Nos. 236, 238, 301 and 314 to provide for the City's reasonably anticipated future growth and expansion, that said City Council desires to repeal said four ordinances. SECTION 3: THAT said City of Baytown's Ordinances Nos. 236, 238, 314 and 301 are hereby expressly repealed and annulled and shall, henceforth, be held for naught. SECTION 4: THAT this ordinance shall become effective immediately and shall be published in the manner provided in Article I, Section 9 of the Charter of the City of Baytown. • INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the City Council of the City of Baytown on this 22nd day of March, A.
