AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF SEVENTY -THREE THOUSAND
EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY -NINE DOLLARS AND FIFTY -SD( CENTS
• ($73,839.56) OUT OF THE WATER FUND, UNAPPROPRIATED FUNDS
BALANCE FROM THE FISCAL YEAR 1951 and 1952, AND F-TY TY THREE
THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY -TWO DOLLARS AND SEVENTY -FOUR
CENTS ($53,732.74) OUT OF THE WATER FUND, ANTICIPATED ,BALANCE
OF UNAPPROPRIATED FFUNDS FROM THE FISCAL YEAR 1952 and 1953,
BOTH OF SAID FUNDS BEING TRANSFERRED TO THE WATER IMPROVEMENTS
FUND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOS'PN:
SECTION 1: THAT the sun of Seventy -Three Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty -Nine
Dollars and Fifty -Six Cents ($73,839.56) shall be appropriated out of the Water
Fund, Unappropriated Funds Balance for the fiscal year 1951 and 1952 and Fifty-Three
Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty -Two Dollars and Seventy -Four Cents ($53,732.74) out
of the Water Fund, Anticipated Balance from the Unappropriated Funds of the fiscal
® year 1952 and 1953, both of said funds being hereby appropriated to the Improvement
Fund for the following purposes:
(1) $27,889.00 to Water Well Contract No. 1.
(2) $12,900.00 to provide for the 300,000 gallon surface
storage tank as provided for in Contract No. 2.
(3) $3,352.30 to provide a foundation for the above - mentioned
surface storage tank and a control building as provided
for in Contract No. 3.
(4) $5,598.00 to provide for Water Well Pumps as set forth
in Contract No. 4.
(5) $63,880.00 to provide for the 100,000 gallon elevated
storage tank as provided for in Contract No. 5.
(6) $7,953.00 to provide for engineering fees.
(7) $5,000:00 to provide for the construction of water mains.
(8) $1,000.00 to provide for contingencies.
The sum total of the above eight (8) items shall total One Hundred Twenty-
Seven Thousand Five Hundred Seventy -Two Dollars and Thirty Cents ($127,572.30).
0 SECTION 2: THAT the contracts above mentioned shall and are hereby made a
part of this ordinance by reference and if there is any conflict or conflicts between
the contracts and this ordinance the contracts shall prevail.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect from and after the date of its
passage by the City Council,
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the City
Council of the City of Baytown this 21st day of October, 1952.
