Ordinance No. 159ORDINANCE NO. 159 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING TIT RATF'S OF THE HOUSTON NATURAL GAS CORPORATION IN THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS BE IT ORDAI?TEED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTO1414: uection 1: THAT the Houston Natural Gas Corporation is hereby authorized to continue charging the following rates: RATES FOR GAS IN BAYTOIJN ARE' AS FOLLOWS: Domestic Rate #1 'Schedule Gross Id et All gas .75 .65 per M Cu.ft Service charge $a' .50 Minium monthly bill .50 'Small Commercial Rate #501 Schedule Gross Net • First 30.0 MCF per month .75 .65 per M cu.ft. All over 30.0 MCF per month .73 .63 per M cu.ft. Service charge .50 Minimum monthly bill .50 'Section 2: Repealing Clause. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency, and in allother respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 3: 'Savings Clause. If any provision;, >,exception, section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void, or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circum- stances and to this end, all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. Section 4 :- THAT nothing in this ordinance shall be construed as in any manner now and hereafter limiting or modifying the right and power of the City Council under law to regulate the rates charged by the Houston Natural Gas Corporation for its services within the City of Baytown, Texas. Section 5: EFFECTIVF DATE. This ordinance shall take effect immediately after passage by the majority of the City Council of the City of Baytown.
