AN ORDIMNCE ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL
YEAR, BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 19503 AND ENDING SEPTEiEER 30,
195 , IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER. AND ORDPIANCES OF
THE CITY OF BAYTUNN; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION
OF THIS ORDINANCE.
IV EREAS, the City Manager of the City of Baytown has submitted to the City
Council a budget estimate of the revenues of said city and the expenses of conduct-
ing the affairs thereof for the ensuing fiscal year beginning October 1, 1950, and
ending the 30th day of September 1951, and which said estimate has been compiled
from detailed information obtained from the several departments, divisions and-offices
of the City, containing all of the information as required by the Charter of the City
of Baytown; and
• MEREAS, the City Council has received said city manager's estimate and held a
public hearing thereon as provided by Section 44 of the Charter; and
WHEREAS, FURTHER, after a full and final consideration of the public hearing, it
is the opinion of the council that the budget as filed shauld be approved and adopted;
NOW, THEREFCRE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF -BAYTi.07ffi:
SECTION 1: That the budget estimate of the revenues of the City of Baytown and
the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof for the ensuing fiscal year, beginning
October 1, 1954, and ending September 30, 1951, as submitted to the City Council by
the City Manager of said city, be, and the same is, in all things adopted and approved
as the budget estimate of all of the current expenses as well as the fixed charges
• against said city for the fiscal year beginning the lst day of October, 1950, and end-
ing the 30th day of September, 1951•
SECTION 2. That the sum of 561;298 ---is hereby appropriated out of the general
fund for the payment of operating expenses and capital outlay of the city government
as hereinafter itemized, to -wit:-
