AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 6 PASSED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN ON FEBRUARY 9, 1948, AS
AIENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 17 PASSM BY SAID CITY COUNCIL
ON JULY -29 1918.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:+
Section 1:. That Ordinance No. 6, being "An ordinance to provide for the protec-
tion of the public health by controlling or preventing the spread of ratborne diseases
and infections by the elimination of insanitary conditions associated with such diseases;
providing for rat ext6rmination; providing for the ratproofing of all business build-
ings and maintenance thereof in a ratproofed condition; providing that business build-
ings hereafter constructed shall be of such construction as to comply with the regula-
tions hereof; regulating the display racks or stands outside of business buildings
containing fruits, vegetables, or other products offered for sale; providing for inspec-
tion and authorizing buildings and to enforce rat eradication; providing for maximum
penalty of $100.00 for violation and for effective date hereofp" passed by the city
council of the City of Baytown on February 9, 1928, as amended by Ordinance No. 17,
passed by said city council on July 29, 1948, be in all things repealed and of no
further force and effect.
Section 2: This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage by the city
council.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the city
council on this let day of September, 1949.
