AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF AN ORDINANCE
ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 OF
AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED; "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF PELLY, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING A ZONE PLAN DIVIDING
THE CITY INTO DISTRICTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF REGULA-
TING THE LOCATION OF TRADE AND BUILDINGS AND STRUC-
TURES, DESIGNS FOR DWELLINGS, APARTMENT HOUSES AND
OTHFLR SPECIFIED PURPOSES; REGULATING THE HEIGHT AND
BULK OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, AND THE ALIGNMENT
THEREOF ON STREET FRONTAGES; REGULATING THE AREAS AND
DIMENSIONS OF YARDS, COURTS, AND OPEN SPACES SURROUN-
DING BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES; CREATING A BOARD OF
ADJUSTMENT TO HEAR APPEALS ON THE ADMINISTRATION OF
THE ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,"" AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE 'HEREOF. _
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAYTOWN:
Section 1: That an ordinance entitled "An ordinance amending Section 15 of
an ordinance entitled; "An ordinance of the City of Pelly, Texas, establishing a
zone plan, dividing the city into districts for the purpose of regulating the lo-
cation of trade and buildings and structures, designs for dwellings, apartment
houses and other specified purposes; regulating the height and bulk of buildings
and structures, and the alignment thereof on street frontages; regulating the
areas and dimensions of yards, courts, and open spaces surrounding buildings and
structures; creating a board of adjustment to hear appeals on the administration
of the ordinance; and declaring an emergency,"" and Section 2 thereof shall be
and the same is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
(d) The following shall be Fire Limit Area No. 2 of the City of Baytown:
(1) Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 24, Block 54 of the
Thomas Wright Addition to the City of Goose,Creek, now Baytown, which point
is the intersection of the west boundary line of South Second Street with
the south boundary line of East Texas Avenue;
Thence, south along the west boundary line of South Second Street
a distance of 100 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 24 of Block
54 of the Thomas Wright Addition;
Thence, at right angles in an easterly direction parallel with the
south boundary line of East Texas Avenue to a point in the east right
of way line of Eighth Street, which point is 100 feet south of the south
right of way line of East Texas Avenue;
Thence, in a southerly direction along the east right of way line
of Eighth Street to the intersection of said line with the north right
fof way line of East Pearce Street;
Thence, in an easterly direction along the north right of way line
of East Pearce Street to a point 308.59 feet from the east right of way
line of State Highway #146 and 200 feet south of the south right of way
line of East Texas Avenue;
Thence, at right angles in a northerly direction parallel with the
east right of way line of State Highway #146 to the southeast corner of
Block 8 of Danubina Court, Section 2, Addition to the City of Baytown;
Thence, in a northerly direction along the east boundary line of
Block 8 of said Danubina Court, Section 21 Addition a distance of 313.7
feet;
Thence, at right angles in a westerly direction to the northwest
corner of Block 8 of said Danubina Court, Section 2, Addition;

Thence, in a southerly direction along the west boundary line of
said Block 8 which is 200 feet from the southwest corner of said Block
8 and the north right of way.line of East Texas Avenue;
Thence, in a westerly direction to the northwest corner of Lot 4,
Block 2 of nanubina Court Addition;
Thence, in a southwesterly direction along the north lines of Lots
3 and 2 of said Block 2 to the northeast corner of Lot 1 in said Block
2, which point is 100 feet north of the north right of way line of East
Texas Avenue;
Thence, in,a westerly direction parallel with the north right of
way line of East Texas Avenue to the southeast corner of Lot 6, Block
11 of the Thomas Wright Addition, which is located on the west right of
way line of North Second Street, a distance of 100,feet north of the
north boundary line of East Texas Avenue;
Thence, in a southerly direction along the west boundary line of
North Second Street, crossing East Texas Avenue at the southeast corner
of Lot 1, Block 59 of the Thomas Wright Addition, to the place of be-
ginning*
(2) Beginning at a point on the easterly right of way of
Decker Drive, which point is the intersection of said Decker Drive
® with the south right of way line of West Sterling, formerly known as
West Main Avenue;
Thence, in an easterly direction along the south right of way line
of West Sterling a distance of 100 feet;
Thence, in a northerly direction parallel with Decker Drive, and
at all points a distance of 100 feet therefrom, a distance of?1200 feet;
Thence, at right angles in a westerly direction, at 100 feet crossing
the easterly right of way line of Decker Drive, to a point which is
located 150 feet west of the westerly right of way line of said Decker
Drive;
Thence, at right angles in a southerly direction parallel with
Decker Drive, and at all points 150 feet west of the westerly right of
way line thereof, to a point which is 150 feet wPt +o Fthe intersection
of the westerly right of way line of Decker Drive the north right
of way line of Market Street;
Thence, in a westerly direction parallel with the north right of
way line of Market Street, and at all points 150 feet north of the
said north right of way line thereof, to a point which is 100 feet east
of the east right of way line of Airhart Drive, formerly known as Maple
Street, and 150 feet north of the north right of way line of Market
Street;
Thence, in a northerly direction parallel with the east right of
way line of Airhart Drive to the south right of way line of Cedar Street;
Thence, At right angles in 'a westerly direction to a point in
the south right of way line of Cedar Street, which is also the north-
west corner of Lot 16, Block 13, Airhart Addition;
Thence, at right angles in a southerly direction, parallel with
the west right of way line of Airhart Drive, and at all points a dis-
tance of 100 feet therefrom, to a point which is 125 feet north of the
north right of way line of Market Street;
Thence, in a westerly direction parallel with the north right of
way line of Market 'Street, and at all points a distance of 125 Feet
therefrom, to a point in the west right of way line of Magnolia Street;
Thence, in a southerly direction along the west right of way line
of Magnolia Street to the south right of way line of Market Street
which point is also the southeast corner of Block 5 of East Baytown
Addition;
Thence, in a westerly direction with the south right of way line
of Market Street to the northwest corner of said Block 5 of East Bay-
town Addition, which point is also the intersection of the south right
of way line of Varket Street with the East right of way line of Huggins
Street;
Thence, in a southerly direction along the east right of way line
of Huggins Street to the south right of way line of the alley in Block
6 of East Baytown Addition;
Thence, along the south right of way line of said alley to the west

® right of way line of Louisiana Street;
Thence, in an easterly direction to the south right of way line of
an alley in Block_ 28 of East Baytown Addition, which-alley adjoins on
the south Lots 1 to 17 inclusive of said Block 28 facing on Market Street;
Thence, in an easterly direction along the south right of way line
of said alley in Block 28 in East Baytown Addition to a point which is
14 feet south of the southeast corner of Lot 12 in said Block 28;
Thence, in a northerly direction, at 14 feet passing the southeast
corner of said Lot 12, and continuing along the east line of same to
the south right of way line of Market Street, being also the northeast
corner of said Lot 12;
Thence, in a northeasterly direction to the most western corner of
Lot or Tract 55 of- Baytown Business Addition, which is the point of
intersection of the south right of way line of Market Street with the
north right of way line of West Main Street;
Thence, along the north right of way line of West Main Street to
the southeast corner of Lot or Tract 53 of Baytown Business Addition;
Thence, at right angles in a northerly direction on the east line
of said Lot or Tract 53 a distance of 303.16 feet to the intersection
of said line with the west, line of Lot 1, Block 1 of the Baytown Business
Addition;
® Thence, in a southerly direction along the west line of said Lot
1 to its southwest corner, a distance of 84.46 feet;
Thence, in an easterly direction to the southwest corner of Lot
6 of said Block 1 of Baytown Business Addition;
Thence, along the south line of said Lot 6 to a point which is
150 -feet south of the south right of way line of Market Street;
Thence, in an easterly direction parallel with the south right
of way line of Market Street, and at all points a distance of 150 feet
therefrom, to the point of intersection of said line with the north
right of way line of West Pearce Avenue extended, more particularly
described in Ordinance Number 3 passed by the City Commission of the
City of Pelly, now Baytown, on the lst day of May, 1947;
Thence, in a westerly direction along the north right of way line
of West Pearce Avenue extended to the most western extension thereof
as defined in said Ordinance Number 3 dated May 1, 1947;
Thence, in a northerly direction to the place of beginning.
Section 2: That the Fire Limit Area established by the City Commission of
the City of Pelly, now Baytown, prior to the effective date of this Ordinance
hereby declared to be fire limit Area Number 1 of the City -of Baytown.
® Section 3: That all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith are
hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days
from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give
notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the
official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice prior to the effective
date hereof.
