THOROUGHFARES IN THE CITY OF BELLY, TEXAS, AND FIX- ING PENALTY FOR VIOIATION, ADOPTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PELLY, NOW BAYTOWN, ON _ THE 14TH DAY OF MAY, A. D., 1916; PROHIBITING PARK -. RTG OF VEHICLES AT CERTAIN HOURS AT DESIGNATED PLACES WITHIN THE CITY OF BAYTOWN; STIPUTA TING A SAVINGS CLAUSEIREPEALING.ORD INA NCES IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING A iikN LTY FOR THE.VIOIATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOIVN: SECTION 1: That that certain ordinance adopted by the City Commission of the City of Pelly, now Baytown, on-the loth day of May, A. D., 19116, being "An ordinance regulating traffic upon the public streets, alleys and other thorough- fares in the City of Pelly, Texas, and fixing penalty for violation," be amended adding thereto Section 7 (a), and after being so :amended said section shall read as follows: "SECTION 7 (a): Parking 2Kbhibited at certain hours in designated places. Yben signs are erected or curbs painted giving notice thereof, it shall be unlawful and an offense for a* person, driver or owner to park or-stand any vehicle, or any owner to suffer or permit any driver of any vehicle belonging to such owner to park or stand such vehicle between the hours of 2:00 A. M. and 5:00 A. If any provision, exception, section, _. subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance or the appli- cation of same to any person or set of circumstances shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity 6f the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end, all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 3: Repealing clause. All ordinances or parts of ordinances incon- sistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency, and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. SECTION 4: Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance or.any rule or regulation made in compliance therewith zhail be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not to exceed One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars. SECTION 5: Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect from and after' ten (10) days from its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby ® directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption.of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice prior to the effective date hereof.
