ORDINANCE NO. 41
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF CERTAIN
BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN SO AS TO
EXCLUDE CERTAIN TERRITORY NOW INCLUDED WITHIN THE
LIMITS OF SAID CITY, SAID TERRITORY SO EXCLUDED THERE-
FROM COMPRISING TWO TRACTS, THE FIRST BEING ALL OF THE
HENRY BUSCH TWENTY (20) ACRES TRACT AND THE SECOND
BEING ALL OF THE SOUTHERLY PORTION OF THE AMERICAN
GAILLARD OR GULF HILL TRACT AND BEING ALL OF SAID TRACT
EXCEPT THE NORTHERLY SIX AND EIGHTY FIVE HUNDREDS (6.85)
ACRES, WHICH SIX AND EIGHTY FIVE HUNDREDS (6.85) ACRES
SHALL REMAIN WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BAY—
TOWN, AND WHICH TRACTS ARE PARTS OF THE WILLIAMS SCOTT
UPPER LEAGUE, ABSTRACT #66 IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS,
LYING ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE -.CITY
OF BAYTOWN, ALL OF WHICH TRACTS SO EXCLUDED FROM WITHIN
SAID CITY LIMITS ARE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE
ORDINANCE: AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND PASSAGE
OF THIS ORDINANCE IN THE MANNER PROVIDED IN ARTICLE I,

SECTION 9 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN.
PURSUANT to the power and authority granted to the City Council of the City
of Baytown in Article I, Section 9, of the charter of the City of Baytown;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN:
Section is That the following described land and territory heretofore included
within' the boundary limits of the City of Baytown be and the same is hereby ex-
cluded from the City of Baytown and that said territory hereinafter described shall
henceforth be excluded from the boundary limits of said city and shall not here-
after be included within nor constitute a part of the territory comprising the
City of Baytown, and the present boundary limits of said city at the various points
contiguous to the area hereinafter described, are altered and amended so as to ex-
clude said area from the corporate limits of the City of Baytown, to—wit:
Said tracts of land being out of the William Scott Upper League, County of
Harris, State of Texas, and being more particularly described as follows:
TRACT Nth_ 7
BEGINNING at a one inch pipe on left bank of Goose Creek;
THENCE North 45 deg. 25 min. Fast 227.5 feet to a Pine stump'for
corner, from which a Pin Oak marked 11X" bears North 37 deg. 20 min. East
15.8 feet; -
THENCE South 32 deg. 40 min. East 1750 feet to a two inch pipe for
corner on the West line of William Scott Iabor, Abstract #67;
THENCE South 21 deg. 54 min. West 700 feet with the West line of
William Scott Labor to a two inch pipe for corner;
• THENCE North 32 deg. 40 min. West 1558.05 feet to bank of Goose Creek;
THENCE up the left bank of -Goose Creek to the point of beginning,
containing twenty (20) acres more or less and being known as the Henry
Busch Tract.

TRACT NO. .2
BEGINNING at a two inch pipe at the Northeast corner of henry
Busch twenty (20) acres tract and on the West line of the William!,
Scott labor;
THENCE North 21 deg. 54 min. East 923 feet to a one and one /half
inch pipe, the Northwest corner of William Scott labor;
THENCE North with West line of Harvey whiting Survey and East line
of William Scott Upper League 1155.4 feet to a point;
THENCE South'81 deg. 52 min. West to the Fast bank of Goose Iake;
THENCE down the East bank of Goose lake to the left bank of
Goose Creek;
THENCE dozen the left bank of Goose Creek to a one inch pipe, the
West corner of Henry Busch twenty (20) acres tract; .
THENCE North 45 deg. 25 min. East 227.5 feet to 'a Pine stump for
• corner, the North corner of Henry Busch twenty (20) acres tract, from
which a Pin Oak marked «X" bears North 37 deg. 20 min. East 159,8 feet;

THENCE South 32 deg. 40 min. East 1750 feet to the place of begin-
ning, and being known as the Southerly part of the American Gaillard or
Gulf Hill Tract.
Section 2: That the above described two (2) tracts shall henceforth be ex-
cluded from the corporate limits of the City of Baytown and the city limits of said
city are hereby amended, fixed and determined so as to exclude said area from
said city.
Section 3s That this ordinance upon and after its introduction shall be pu-
blished and finally acted upon in the manner provided in Article I, Section 9 of
the Charter of the City of Baytown.
