Ordinance No. 22• • ORDINANCE NO. 2 Z AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TAX HATE AND TAX LEVY FOR THE CITY OF BAYT OIX, TEXAS, FOR THE F16CAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1919, UPON ALL TAX- ABLE PROPERTY IN SAID CITY OF BAYTOVAJ: TEXAS, IN CONFMITY WITH THE CHARTER PROVISIONS AND THE ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1: That there shall be, and is hereby levied and shall be assessed and collected for the year�1949, ant-ad valorem tax of 1.72 Dollars on each One Hundred Dollars worth of property located within the present city limits of the city of Baytown, made taxable by law, which said taxes when collected shall be apportioned among the funds and departments of the city government of the city of Baytown and for the purposes hereinafter set forth as follows, to-wit: For the General Fund $ 1.52 For the purpose of paying the accruing interest and to provide a sinking fund for the payment of the bonded indebtedness of the City of Baytown 0.20 Section 2: The city Tax Assessor and Collector of the city of Baytown is hereby directed to assess, extend and enter upon the tax rolls of the city of Baytown, Texas, for the current taxable year, the amounts and rates herein levied, and to keep a correct account of same, and when so collected, the same to be deposited in the depository of the city of Baytown, to be distributed in accordance with this ordinance. Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. READ, ADOPTED and APPROVED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the city council of the city of Baytown, Texas at a regular meeting held at the city hall on the .Z /st day of September, A.
