CC Resolution No. 2567RESOLUTION NO. 2567 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE FY2020 CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAM TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICE, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION ON BEHALF OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($28,500.00); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; ASSURING PROPER USE AND MAINTENANCE OF GRANT FUNDS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ****************************************************************************** BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to submit a grant application for the FY2020 Criminal Justice Program to the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division on behalf of the Police Department in an amount not to exceed TWENTY-EIGHT THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($28,500.00). Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the City of Baytown for all purposes under the grant, including the acceptance, affirmation, rejection, alteration, or termination of any grant award that may result from the above application. Section 3: That in the event of loss or misuse of the grant funds, the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby assures the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division that such grant funds will be returned to such division in full. Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
