CC Resolution No. 2550RESOLUTION NO. 2550 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO HARRIS COUNTY FOR THE TEXAS HURRICANE HARVEY (DR4332) COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT - DISASTER RECOVERY - ROUND 1 NON- HOUSING/INFRASTRUCTURE PROGRAM FOR THE EAST WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR PURPOSES OF REPRESENTING THE CITY FOR ALL PURPOSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE APPLICATION; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM AND TO EXECUTE ANY RESULTING RESERVATION SYSTEM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING LOCAL MATCH IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED FORTY-ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($341,174.00); AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. **************************************************************************************** BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: The City Council authorizes the City Manager to make application to Harris County for the Texas Hurricane Harvey (DR4332) Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) - Round 1 Non-Housing/Infrastructure program for the East Wastewater Treatment Plant in the amount of SIX MILLION SIX HUNDRED TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY-SIX AND N0/100 DOLLARS ($6,602,826.00). Section 2: That the CityManager of the City of Baytown, an office currently held by Richard L. Davis, is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grant. Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the above applications and is further authorized to execute any resulting agreements. Section 4: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a local match in the amount of THREE HUNDRED FORTY-ONE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FOUR AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($341,174.00) from FY2018-19 budgeted funds. Section 5: That the City Council of the City ofBaytown shall allocate additional funds necessary for the City to (i) administer the grant funds and manage the project or (ii) fund a third -party administrator to do so. Section 6: This resolution shall take effect immediately from Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
