Ordinance No. 13,701ORDINANCE NO. 13,701 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE MILLION SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY AND 16/100 DOLLARS ($3,673,550.16) TO THE TEXAS DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT TO REFUND EXCESS FUNDS THE CITY RECEIVED FOR DEBRIS REMOVAL, DEBRIS MONITORING, AND MARINA CLEANUP AFTER HURRICANE IKE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************* WHEREAS, the Texas Division of Emergency Management ("TDEM") recently performed a reconciliation of funds disbursed to the City of Baytown for reimbursements received by the City for the City's cleanup efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike; and WHEREAS, TDEM determined that the City is required to refund TDEM based upon the following: 303 Debris Removal — BAMACO (Ineligible expenses approved by the Debris Monitor t $104,321.24 304I Debris Removal — DRC Ineligible expenses approved by the Debris Monitor $396,350.79 402 Debris Monitoring— Beck Monitoring Overpayment $1,361,147.78 9476 Baytown Marina and Boat Pier Repair Overpayment $1,811,730.35 Total F $3,673,550.16 WHEREAS, the City Council has budgeted funds for this reimbursement; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes the payment in the amount of THREE MILLION SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY AND 16/100 DOLLARS ($3,673,550.16) to the Texas Division of Emergency Management to refund excess funds the City received for debris removal, debris monitoring, and marina cleanup after Hurricane Ike. Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately m and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
