A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THREE (3) GRANTS FROM
THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR FOR THE FY2016 HOUSTON URBAN AREA
SECURITY INITIATIVE ON BEHALF OF THE POLICE AND FIRE
DEPARTMENTS IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED TWENTY -
FIVE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTY -ONE AND 051100 DOLLARS
($325,781.05); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; ASSURING
PROPER USE AND MAINTENANCE OF GRANT FUNDS; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is authorized to accept the
following grants from the Office of the Governor for the FY2016 Houston Urban Area Security Initiative
on Behalf of the Police and Fire Departments:
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative of
the City of Baytown for all purposes under the grant.
Section 3: That in the event of loss or misuse of the grant funds, the City Council of the City
of Baytown hereby assures the Office of the Governor of the State of Texas, that such grant funds will be
returned in full.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from
City Council of the City of Baytown.
