Ordinance No. 13,185ORDINANCE NO. 13,185 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY -NINE AND N0I100 DOLLARS ($720,399.00) TO SIDDONS MARTIN EMERGENCY GROUP, LLC, THROUGH THE HOUSTON - GALVESTON ARL•A COUNCIL FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) 2016 PIERCE QUANTUM PUMPER TRUCK FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ********************************************************* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown has approved an Interlocal Agreement which authorizes the Houston - Galveston Area Council to take bids for certain items on behalf of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the Houston - Galveston Area Council has taken bids for one (1) Pierce Quantum Pumper Truck for the Fire Department; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY -NINE AND N0I100 DOLLARS ($720,399.00) to Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC, through the Houston - Galveston Area Council for the purchase of one (1) 2016 Pierce Quantum Pumper Truck for the Fire Department. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated §252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty -five percent (25 00) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and a its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
