Ordinance No. 495w ORDINANCE NO, 495 ® AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE RATES OF THE GENERAL TELEPHONE COWANY OF THE SOMI'IEST IN THE CITY OF BAYTOtIN, TEXAS; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PRO - VIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUB- LICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAtTOUN: SECTION 1: THAT the General Telephone Company of the Southwest, its suc- cessors and assigns, is hereby authorized and directed to place into effect the following schedule of rates: Class of Service Anthly Rate On Party Business Service $14.00 Two Party Business Service 11.00 Business Extension Station 1.75 One Party Residence Service 6.50 Two Party Residence Service 5.50 Four Party Residence Service 4.50 Residence Extension Station 1.00 Authority to charge for miscellaneous services and equipment the rates set out in the Schedule of Miscellaneous Rates and Charges for Dial Telephone Service listed below is also granted. All ordinances or parts of ordinances incon- sistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency, and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. SECTION 4: Savings Clause. If any provision., exception, section, subsec- stitutional, void, or invalid, such. invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end, all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 5: Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directee to give notice hereof by causing this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after the passage of this ordinance. • INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of a majority of the City Council of the City of Baytown on this 25th day of June, 1950.
