TEXAS, APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 2009 -10 BUDGET SUBMITTED 13Y THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN FIRE CONTROL. PREVENTION, AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES DISTRICT: AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. •srrwsr *r * *r• ass+ a+• ttttttt* trr+ rrr+ r+ r+ rtsswssrststt• +swtrt +tt +twttwttwwrtstsswstsr• WHEREAS, in accordance with the alternate budget procedure of the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District (the "District ") and the published notice of the budget hearing. the Board of Directors of the District (the "Board ") conducted a public hearing to consider the District's proposed annual budget on the 21" day. of July. 2009: and WHEREAS. on the 21" day of July. 2009. after considering the proposed budget together with the testimony and information received at the public hearing. the Board adopted its 2009 -10 budget: and 1VHEREAS, within ten days of the Board's adoption of its budget. the Board submitted its approved budget to the City Councif of the City of Baytown, Texas; and WHEREAS. on the 13'h day of August. 2009, the City Council of the City of Baytown. Texas. held a public hearing to consider the budget adopted by the Board and submitted to the City Council in accordance with the published hearing notice; and 1VHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Baytown. after considering the submitted budget together with the testimony and information received at the public hearing. believes that the budget approved by the Board is consistent with the interest of the residents of the District: NOW THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY TI -IE CITY COUNCn. OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section l: That all matters and facts set forth in the recitals hercinabove are found to be true and are approved by the City Council of the City of Baytown. Texas. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas hereby approves the budget submitted by the Board of the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District. which budget is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for al) intents and purposes for the District's 2009 -10 fiscal year. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Ba%lown.
