AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ADDING APPROXIMATELY 3.62 ACRES OF LAND SITUATED IN THE J.W. SINGLETON
SURVEY, ABSTRACT 709, LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF BLUE HERON
AND NORTH MAIN, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAVE AND EXCEPT PREVIOUSLY
ANNEXED LAND BY THE CITY OF BAYTOWN VIA ORDINANCE NO. 1365, TO
COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 4; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown provides that the City Council shall
redistrict the City if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed territory described herein in a Council District;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 4 is hereby redistricted by the addition of that property which is
described in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are
hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all
other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter
covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of
this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held
unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this
ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City
Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be
published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twig thin ten (10) days after passage of this
ordinance. ff

Being a 3.622 acre tract or parcel of land situated in the J. W. Singleton Survey,
Abstract No. 709, Harris County, Texas, and being a portion of a called 51.88768
acre tract described as SECOND TRACT in deed dated December 21, 1992 and
recorded in Harris County Clerks File No. P016966, said 2.716 acre tract being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows;
BEGINNINQ at a 1/2" iron rod with plastic cap stamped "RPLS 4980" set on the
east line of North Main Street. 80 feet wide, for the northwest corner of the said
called 51.88768 acre tract and the northwest comer of the herein described tract;
THENCE N 75 036'04" E, along the north line of the said called 51.88768 acre
tract, a distance of 1061.55 feet to a Y4" iron rod found on the west line of a called
5.009 acre tract to Harris County Flood Control as described in deed recorded in
Harris County Clerks File No. L446592, for the northeast comer of the said called
51.88768 acre tract and the northeast comer of the herein described tract;
THENCE S 09 °2749" W, along the west line of said called 5.009 acre tract, a
distance of 43.98 feet to a 3/4" iron rod with plastic cap stamped "RPLS 4980"
found on the north line of Baker Road Extension, 110 feet wide unimproved Right
of Way, for the southeast corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE Westerly along the north line of Baker Road Extension, along a curve to
the right, having a radius of 1445.00 feet, a central angle of 37 °32'37 ", an arc
length of 946.85, a chord bearing of S 68 °25'43" W, and a chord distance of 930.00
feet to a 3/4" iron rod with plastic cap stamped'RPLS 4980" found for the end of
said curve;
THENCE S 87° 12'01" W, continuing along the north line of Baker Road
Extension, a distance of 125.00 feet to a 3/4" iron rod with plastic cap stamped
'RPLS 4980" found for the beginning of a cut back line of Baker Road Extension;
