AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, DESIGNATING A PART OF THE AREA LOCATED WITHIN THE
CITY OF BAYTOWN'S EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION BE
INCLUDED AS PART OF BAYTOWN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT NO. 2;
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; CONTAINING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF
WHEREAS, Section 42.044 of the Texas Local Government Code expressly provides for
the establishment of industrial districts by municipalities within their extraterritorial
jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council through Ordinance No. 893 established Baytown Industrial
District No. 2; and
WHEREAS, Industrial District No. 2 was amended by Ordinance Nos. 1806, 11,965, and
12,378; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the boundaries of Baytown Industrial
District No. 2 again in order to include additional property within its extraterritorial jurisdiction
in such industrial district; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes including such additional property within its
extraterritorial jurisdiction in the industrial district will be for the mutual advantage to industry
and the citizens of Baytown; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby designates
the property described in Exhibit "A," which is located within the City of Baytown's
extraterritorial jurisdiction and is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and
purposes, as a part of Baytown Industrial District No. 2.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this
ordinance are hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of
such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other
ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of
circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall
not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other
persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.

EXHIBIT "A"
BEGINNING at a point, said point being the intersection of the north right -of -way line
of Interstate Highway 10 with the centerline of Cedar Bayou Stream,
THENCE, northwesterly along the meanders of the Cedar Bayou Stream to the west
right -of -way line of the Southern Pacific Railroad tract;
THENCE, northerly along the west right -of -way line of the said Southern Pacific
Railroad tract to its point of intersection with the easterly right -of -way line of a Houston
Light and Power Company fee strip;
THENCE, northwesterly along the said east right -of -way line of the said Houston Light
and Power Company strip to its point of intersection with the westerly line of a municipal
annexation completed by the City of Mont Belvieu on June 8, 1970;
THENCE, northerly along said westerly line of such City of Mont Belvieu annexation to
a point, said point being the intersection of the north right -of -way line FM 1942 with the
west right -of -way line of Hatcherville Road;
THENCE, in a northerly direction along the west right -of -way line of Hatcherville Road
to its point of intersection with the most northeasterly limits of the City of Baytown
extraterritorial jurisdiction line; said line being 3.5 miles from the intersection of the east
bank of Old Cedar Bayou and the south property line of the Coastal Water Authority;
THENCE, in a westerly direction along a 3.5 mile radius from said point of intersection
of the east bank of Old Cedar Bayou and the south property line of the Coastal Water
Authority to a point in the south right -of -way of Holy Rd;
THENCE, in an easterly direction along the south right -of -way of Holy Rd to a point of
intersection with the easterly right -of -way line of FM 1942;
THENCE, southeasterly along the eastern right -of -way of FM 1942 to its point of
intersection with the north right -of -way of FM 1942;
THENCE, in an easterly direction along the north right -of -way line of FM 1942 to its
point of intersection with the east right -of -way of Haddon Road;
THENCE, in a southerly direction along the east right -of -way line of Haddon Road to its
point of intersection with the north right -of -way line of Wallisville road;
THENCE, South 180° 0' 0" East to a point of intersection with the existing City of
Baytown city limit line;
THENCE, in an easterly direction along the existing City of Baytown city limit line to its
point of intersection with the east right -of -way line of Sjolander Road;
THENCE, in a southerly direction along the eastern right -of -way of Sjolander to its point
of intersection with the northwest corner of a 101.266 acre (4,411,169 square feet) tract
of land situated in the William Bloodgood Survey, Absract No. 4, Harris County, Tx.,
said 101.266 acre tract being a portion of a residue of a 362.658 acre tract of land (Tract
1) and a portion of a residue of a 5.857 acre tract of land (Tract 2) conveyed to Gulf Oil
Corporation, as recorded under Harris County Clerk's File No. B455829 of the Official
Public Records of Real Property, Harris County, Tx.,
THENCE, South 89° 53' 59" East across the residue of said 5.857 acre tract, across the
residue of said 362.658 acre tract and along the north line of said 101.266 acre tract a
distance of 2,632.57 feet to a point for the northwest corner of said 101.266 acre tract,
THENCE, South 15° 53' 15" East, a distance of 1220.22 feet to a point in the north right -
of -way line of Interstate Highway 10, said point also being the southeast corner of said
101.266 acre tract,
THENCE, in a easterly direction along the north right -of -way line of Interstate Highway
10 to the POINT OF BEGINNING, containing 15,868.58 acres (691,235,705 square
feet), more or less.
