AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ADDING APPROXIMATELY 18.75 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ALONG OLD CEDAR
BAYOU, APPROXIMATELY 2.3 MILES UPSTREAM OF I -10 AND TERMINATING 1.5
MILES UPSTREAM OF FARM TO MARKET ROAD 1942, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO
COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 5; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown provides that the City Council shall
redistrict the City if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed territory described herein in a Council District;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 5 is hereby redistricted by the addition of that property which is
described in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are
hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all
other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter
covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of
this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held
unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this
ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City
Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by caqApg the caption of this ordinance to be
published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twi ithin ten (10) days after passage of this
ordinance.

COMMENCING at a point of intersection of the centerline of New Cedar Bayou Stream and the most
northerly northwest comer of a 1.603 -acre (69,847 sq. it.) tract of land situated in the William Bloodgood
Survey, A4, and the George Ellis Survey, A -21, Harris County, Texas. Said 1.603 -acre tract being out of
a called 611.799 -acre tract of land conveyed to Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (formerly Gulf
Oil Corporation), by deed recorded under Harris County Clerk's File No. 8455827, out of a called
4.4797 -acre tract (Tract 4) conveyed to Occidental Chemical Corporation (formerly Diamond Shamrock
Corporation), by deed recorded under Harris County Clerk's File No. 0262504, out of a called 9.405 -acre
tract of land conveyed to DCP Send Hills Pipeline, LLC, by deed recorded under Harris County Clerk's
File No. 20110360392, out of a called 12.164 -acre tract of land (Tract 1) conveyed to Chevron Phillips
Chemical Company LP, by deed recorded under Harris County Clerk's File No. 20060258803, all of the
Official Public Records of Real Property, Harris County, Texas,
Thence, in a northwesterly direction, for a distance of approximately 250 feet, along the centerline of
New Cedar Bayou Stream, to a point of intersection with the centerline of Old Cedar Bayou Stream;
Thence, in a southerly direction along the centerline of Old Cedar Bayou Stream to a point which is
perpendicular to the north bank of the OId Cedar Bayou Stream, said point also being perpendicular to the
west bank of the New Cedar Bayou Stream and POINT OF BEGINNING,
Thence, in a northwesterly direction to the point of intersection of the north bank of Old Cedar Bayou
Stream and the west bank of the New Cedar Bayou Stream,
Thence, in a northerly and westerly direction along the northern bank of Old Cedar Bayou Stream,
following the meanders of the northerly and easterly bank of Old Cedar Bayou Stream to a point of
intersection with the south property line of the Coastal Industrial Water Authority, said Coastal Industrial
Water Authority being a political subdivision and conservation district of the State of Texas crested by
Chapter 601, Acts of the W Legislature of Texas, Regular Session, 1967 (Article 8280-355, VJLC.S.),
Thence, in a westerly direction, along the southern property line of the Coastal industrial Water Authority
to a point of intersection with the west bank of Old Cedar Bayou Stream,
Thence, in a southerly and easterly direction, following the meander: of the west bank of Old Cedar
Bayou Stream to a point, said point being in the south bank of Old Cedar Bayou Stream, said point also
being the west bank of the aforementioned New Cedar Bayou Stream and the southerly line of a 0.43 acre
tract as described in City of Baytown, Texas Ordinance 12,797
Thence, in a northwesterly direction along the southerly line of the aforementioned 0.43 acre tract to the
POINT OF BEGINNING.
