AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ADDING APPROXIMATELY 67.27 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 1200
FEET EAST OF N. MAIN STREET ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF E. WALLISVILLE ROAD, LOT
1, BLOCK 1, CITY OF BAYTOWN 911 COMMUNICATIONS CENTER MINOR PLAT AND
APPROXIMATELY 17.21 ACRES BEING THE RESIDUAL OF TRACT 8A IN THE GEORGE
ELLIS SURVEY, ABSTRACT 21, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NO.
4; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown provides that the City Council shall
redistrict the City if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed territory described herein in a Council District;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 4 is hereby redistricted by the addition of that property which is
described in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are
hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in all
other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter
covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of
this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any reason be held
unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this
ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this
ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the City
Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance to be
published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twee within ten (10) days after passage of this
ordinance. // //

C. L. Thompson, Trustee, recorded in Hams County Clerk's File No. B864272 of the Deed Records of Harris
County, Texas, being out of Lot 8 of the George Ellis League, Abstract No. 21, Harris County, Texas, said
30.7232 acres being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, (Bearings based on deed
recorded in Harris County Clerk's File No. B864272 of the Deed Records of Hams County, Texas);
COMMENCING at a 2 inch galvanized iron pipe found marking the Northwest corner of said called 68.2861
acres and lying in the South Right -Of -Way line of Wallisville Road (60' Wide Right -Of -Way);
THENCE North 80 °5637" East, along the common line of said Wallisville Road and said called 68.2861 acre
tract, a distance of 620.00 feet to a 5.8 inch iron rod set the PLACE OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract

Harris County, Texas. Said 13.5043 acres being out of and a part of that certain 66.2861
acres conveyed by Luella K. Burnside to C. L. "Chuck" Thompson, Trustee, by Deed
dated May 2, 1973 and recorded under County Clerk's File No. D864272 of the Deed
Records of Harris County, Texas and being out of and a part of that certain called
30.7232 acres (Tract 1) conveyed by C. L. "Chuck" Thompson, Trustee, to Efrain Garcia
by Deed dated August 28, 2003 and recorded under County Clerk's File No. W985403 of
the Official Public Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas. This 13.5043 acre

Public Records of Real Property of Harris County, Texas and has a State Plane
Coordinate Value of Y 13,869,365.70 and X 3,247,806.78.
THENCE: North 77 °46'43" East along the South line of said Wallisville Road, the North
line of said called 18.2988 acres, the Westernmost North line of said 66.2861 acres and
the North line of that certain called 17.2639 acre tract conveyed by C. L. "Chuck"

iron pipe found in the West line of that certain called 40.14 acres conveyed by Patsy Hill
Goodrich to Baytown Christian Academy, Inc. by Deed dated April 27, 2007 and
recorded under County Clerk's File No. 20070261884 of the Official Public Records of
Real Property of Harris County, Texas for the Easternmost Northeast corner of this tract
and the Southeast comer of said called 10.000 acres. Said point being the Easternmost
Northeast corner of said 66.2861 acres and has a State Plane Coordinate Value of
Y 13,867,935.92 and X= 3,249,473.44.
THENCE: South 12 °09'48" East along the Southernmost East line of this tract, the
Southernmost East tine of said 66.2861 acres and the West line of said called 40.14 acres
for a distance of 756.56 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod, with cap #4722, found destroyed and
reset this date with a 1/2 inch iron rod, with cap (BHA), for the Southeast comer of said
called 30.7232 acres, the Southeast comer of said 66.2861 acres and the Northeast comer
of that certain 3.65 acre Right-of-Way and Easement conveyed by Luella K. Burnside to
San Jacinto River Authority by Instrument dated November 7, 1963 and recorded in
Volume 6387 at Page 461 of the Deed Records of Hams County, Texas. Said point
being the Northwest corner of that certain 2.74 acre Right -of -Way and Easement
conveyed by Oliver Clevenger, ct ux, to San Jacinto River Authority by Instrument dated
July 13, 1966 and recorded under County Clerk's File No. C341590 of the Deed Records
of Harris County, Texas and the Southeast corner of this tract and has a State Plane
Coordinate Value of Y= 13,867,196.39 and X 3,249,632.73.

found for the Southwest comer of said called 17.2639 acres bears South 77 045'52" West
299.63 feet.
THENCE: North 12 °09'59" West along the West line of this tract, the West line of said
called 30.7232 acres and the East line of said called 17.2639 acres and at a distance of
757.52 feet pass a 1/2 inch iron rod, with cap (BHA), set online (Y 13,867,787.31,
X= 3,248,781.44); in all, a total distance of 2506.64 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING
and containing within these boundaries 13.5043 acres or 588,248.07 square feel of land.
