CC Resolution No. 2335RESOLUTION NO. 2335 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING & COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR THE FY2014 HOME SINGLE FAMILY PROGRAM'S RESERVATION SYSTEM FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE REHABILITATION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF SINGLE - FAMILY RESIDENCES FOR LOW TO MODERATE INCOME CITIZENS; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR PURPOSES OF REPRESENTING THE CITY FOR ALL PURPOSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE APPLICATION; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM AND TO EXECUTE ANY RESULTING RESERVATION SYSTEM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY THOUSAND AND N01100 DOLLARS ($80,000.00) IN MATCHING FUNDS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. *********************************************** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make application to the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs for the FY2014 HOME Single Family Program's Reservation System for the purpose of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of single - family residences for low to moderate income citizens. Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grant. Section 3: That the City's CDBG Program Manager, a position currently held by June Tyler, is hereby authorized to represent the City of Baytown for purposes of this application. Section 4: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown, an office currently held by Robert D. Leiper, is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the above applications and is further authorized to execute any resulting Reservation System Participation Agreement. Section 5: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a local match in an amount not to exceed EIGHTY THOUSAND AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($80,000.00) from FY2015 budgeted funds. Section 6: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
