2001 07 26 WS Minutes'' MINUTES OF THE WORK SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN July 26, 2001 The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, met in work session on July 26, 2001, at 6:05 p.m. in the Hullum Conference Room of Baytown City Hall, 2401 Market Street, Baytown, Texas, with the following in attendance: Ronnie Anderson Council Member Coleman Godwin Council Member Calvin Mundinger Council Member Don Murray Council Member Mercedes Renteria, III Council Member Scott Sheley Council Member Pete C. Alfaro Mayor Monte Mercer City Manager Ignacio Ramirez, Sr. City Attorney Gary W. Smith City Clerk The meeting was opened with a quorum present after which the following business was conducted: Discuss Utility Capital Improvement Program. City Manager Mercer stated that the proposed Utility Capital Improvement Program was provided to City Council in the agenda packet. The program was developed by the Utilities Subcommittee of the 2001 Bond Steering Committee. Funding would be through the issuance of certificates of obligation. To keep the debt payments level, the timing for some of the projects was changed. This is the first presentation, more information will be provided later. Consider appointments. Baytown Housing Finance Corporation. Council Member Mundinger stated that he would nominate James White, a resident of Edison Courts, to the Baytown Housing Finance Corporation. Tow Truck Committee. Mayor Alfaro announced that this item was not ready. Baytown Industrial Appraisal Review Board. Council Member Godwin stated that he would nominate Dave Sherron, Ronn Page 2 of 2 Minutes of the Work Session —July 26, 2001 Haddox, and Joe Muller to the Board. Board of Adjustment. Mayor Alfam announced that this item was not ready. Adjourn. Council Member Sheley moved adjournment. Council Member Mundinger seconded the motion. The vote follows: Ayes: Council Members Anderson, Godwin, Mundinger, Murray, Renteria and Sheley Mayor Alfaro Nays: None.
