Consider approving the minutes of the Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District's Regular Meeting held on ,January 21, 2014. A inotion was made by Director Maurice Watts and seconded by Vice President John Adkins approving the January 21, 2014, FCPEMSD Beard Regular Meeting inutcs. REPORTS a. Present update regarding (lie Baytown Training Fire Field. Chief Shon Blake presented the update regarding the Baytown Training Fire Field and stated that they are moving forward with the second phase of the project. He stated that a fire station is scheduled at the field and they are going to build the bays to include a fire training room with offices and restroom for temporary use. He stated that as funding becomes available, the completion of the fire station will take place and they will then move forward the class rooms and eventually the temporary will be torn down. He stated that a tall four story rescue prop will be put out there which will allow conducting rescue classes to be done. He f- urther stated that they anticipate that the classes will generate money to help move forward quicker than expected. Chief Blake stated that the sewer lines for the restrooms were not included in Phase 1; therefore would be included in the second phase. He stated that the project is estimated to be completed in about eight (S) months. b. Receive the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District's Revenues and Expenditures Report for the Quarter ending March 31, 2014. C. Receive the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District's Quarterly Investment Report for the Quarter ending March 31, 2014. President Bradley Smith stated that agenda items 2.b. and 2.c, would be considered together. Assistant Finance Director, Carl Currie presented the Baytown Fire Control, Prevention, and Emergency Medical Services District's Revenues and Expenditures Report for the Quarter ending March 31, 2014. He stated that the district received 5770,246 of sales tax and $207 of investment interests which represents collectively 52% of the budgeted revenue. He stated that the sales tax receipts were 555,000 which was 7.6% above last year and that the personnel expenditures totaled right at $200,000 which was compared to 551,731 at this point last year. He stated that the majority of the capital outlay budgeted expenditures is expected to occur during the remainder of the fiscal year. Additionally, Mr. Currie stated that the ending balance was S1,005,3994 and the interest rate was .0235% 3. MANAGER'S REPORT a. The next Baytown Fire Control, Prevention and EMS District regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, dune 17, 2014, at 4:30 P.M. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 2401 Market Street. Assistant General Manager Troller presented the agenda item and stated that the next Baytown Fire Control, Prevention and EMS District regular meeting is scheduled for 'l tiesday, .tune 17, 2014, at 4:30 P.M. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 2401 Market Street. He stated that at this meeting, the Board will receive the draft FCPEMSD proposed budget for FY 2014 -15, which will then be followed by the budget hearings and adoption on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.
