AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS
APPROVING THE SECOND RENEWAL OF THE LIQUID SODIUM HYDROXIDE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE BAYTOWN AREA WATER AUTHORITY AND UNIVAR
SOLUTIONS USA, LLC; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS,the Baytown Area Water Authority's enabling legislation requires that the City Council approve
contracts before the Baytown Area Water Authority enters into the same; and
WHEREAS, via Resolution No. 2024-28, the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority
authorized the Liquid Sodium Hydroxide Agreement with Univar Solutions USA Inc. on September 18, 2024(the
"Agreement"); and
WHEREAS,on September 16,2026,the Board of Directors of the Baytown Area Water Authority met and
approved the second renewal of the Liquid Sodium Hydroxide Agreement with Univar Solutions USA Inc.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown desires to approve the same; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas hereby approves the second renewal
of the Liquid Sodium Hydroxide Agreement between the Baytown Area Water Authority and Univar Solutions
USA, LLC.
Section 2: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council
of the City of Baytown,Texas.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative v to of the City uncil of the City of Baytown,
Texas this the 24th day of September, 2026.
