A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS
PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT LOCAL PARKS NON -URBAN OUTDOOR
RECREATION GRANT PROGRAM FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO GOOSE CREEK
PARK AND ADJACENT PROPERTIES; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED
REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR
AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section l: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make
application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Local Parks Non -Urban Outdoor Recreation Grant
Program for improvements to Goose Creek Park and adjacent properties.
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all
purposes under the grant.
Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or
affirm any grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
Baytown this the 23rd day of July, 2026.
