A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN
CRIME CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT, DECLARING FOUR (4)
MOTOR VEHICLES AS SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO DONATE THE FOUR (4) MOTOR VEHICLES FOR
USE BY THE BAYTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT FOR PUBLIC USE; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown ("City"), Texas owns four (4) motor vehicles
("Property") as described below:
a. 1995 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN number AT1956BAED, Fair
Market Value of $10,000;
b. 1995 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN Number AT001693BACD, Fair
Market Value of $10,000;
c. 1996 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN Number AT003449BCHE, Fair
Market Value of $10,000;
d. 1995 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN Number AT8407BDCG, Fair
Market Value of $10,000; and
WHEREAS, the Property was purchased by the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention
District (the "District") for use by the City of Baytown's Police Department for a crime control and crime
prevention program allowed under 363.151 of the Texas Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the Property is no longer needed for the purposes listed above by the City's
Police Department and is hereby declared surplus to the needs of the City's Police Department;
and
WHEREAS, the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District finds it to be the best
interest of the City to allow the Property to be used by the City's Fire Department and to authorize
the City Manager to execute all necessary documents for the City's Fire Department, if any; NOW
THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN CRIME
CONTROL AND PREVENTION DISTRICT:
Section 1: That the Board of Directors of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention
District, hereby declares the Property listed below as surplus to the needs of the City's Police
Department:
a. 1995 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN number AT1956BAED, Fair
Market Value of $10,000;
b. 1995 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN Number AT001693BACD, Fair
Market Value of $10,000;
c. 1996 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN Number AT003449BCHE, Fair
Market Value of $10,000; and
d. 1995 Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV), VIN Number AT8407BDCG, Fair
Market Value of $10,000.
Section 2: That the Board of Directors of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention
District allows the Property declared as surplus in Section 1 to be used by City of Baytown for the
fair market value amount of FORTY THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($40,000.00) for
public use. The City Manager is authorized to execute all necessary documents for the use allowed
by the City, if any.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
Board of Directors of the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the Board of Directors of
the Baytown Crime Control and Prevention District, this 11th day of August, 2026.
