A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ESTABLISHING THE 2025 BOND OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE; MAKING OTHER
PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Baytown voted and approved the issuance of certain General
Obligation Bonds in the November 2025 General Election for the purpose of funding significant
infrastructure projects to support our growing community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown now desires to create a Bond Oversight
Committee to provide financial and project review and community engagement in connection with
approved projects; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: The recitals contained in the preamble of this resolution are true and correct and
are adopted as findings of the City Council of the City of Baytown.
Section 2: The City of Baytown hereby establishes the 2025 Bond Oversight Committee (the
"Committee") as follows:
a. Created; composition. The Committee shall consist of seven (7) at -large members.
b. Purpose. The purpose of the Committee is to provide financial and project review
and community engagement regarding the 2025 General Obligation Bond
projects. The Committee shall review how and when bond revenue is spent on the
approved projects and monitor the timeline for completion of each project.
C. Duties. The Committee shall provide biannual progress reports to the City
Council.
d. Appointments.
1. Terms of'Office. Members of the Committee shall be appointed by the City
Council and shall serve until the last 2025 General Obligation Bond approved
project is completed.
2. Appointments. Each member of the City Council shall appoint one (1) at -large
member to the Committee. The Mayor shall appoint one (1) at -large member
to the Committee.
e. Meetings. The Committee shall meet as -needed, but at least on a quarterly basis.
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the City Council of the City of Baytown this the 26th day
of June, 2026.
