A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS
APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
TO THE TEXAS WATER DEVELOPMENT BOARD UNDER THE WATER SUPPLY AND
INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT (WSIG) PROGRAM FOR THE TRANSITE PIPE WATER LINE
REPLACEMENT PROGRAM—BAYWAY PROJECT; AND MATTERS RELATED
THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 2: Submission of an Application for Financial Assistance to the Texas Water
Development Board ("TWDB"). That an application is approved and authorized to be filed with
the TWDB seeking financial assistance in an amount not to exceed SIXTEEN MILLION AND
NO/100 DOLLARS ($16,000,000)to provide for the costs of the design, construction, acquisition
and equipment for the Bayway Waterline Replacement Project.
Section 3: Further Action. The City Manager, Assistant City Manager, Director of
Finance, Assistant City Attorney and their designees are hereby designated as the authorized
representative of the City and are authorized to take such actions as may be necessary or convenient
in order to facilitate making the application for financial assistance to the TWDB, including but
not limited to, furnishing such information and executing such documents as may be required in
connection with the preparation and filing of such application for financial assistance and the rules
of the Texas Water Development Board.
Section 4: Open Meeting. It is hereby found,determined and declared that the meeting
at which this Resolution is considered is open to the public as required by law, and public notice
of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given as required by Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended. The City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas further ratifies,
approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting thereof.
Section 5: Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective immediately from
and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown
