HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 16,478 (Item 6.a.)ORDINANCE NO. 16,478 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THE ENVISIO SOFTWARE PLATFORM WITH CARAHSOFT TECHNOLOGY CORP., THROUGH A COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT WITH OMNIA PARTNERS REGION 4 EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER (ESC) CONTRACT #R240303, AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN AN AMOUNT OF FORTY-NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FOUR DOLLARS AND 08/100 ($49,504.08) FOR YEAR ONE OF A THREE-YEAR SOFTWARE SUBSCRIPTION; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ****************************************************************************************** WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown has approved Interlocal Agreements for cooperative purchasing with Omnia Partners; and WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreements, the City may make purchases based upon the bids received by Omnia Partners; and WHEREAS, Omma Partners have taken bids and entered into a contract for the purchase of the Envisio Software from Carahsoft Technology Corp. through Region 4 Education Service Center (ESC) Contract #R240303; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the purchase of the Envisio Software Platform with Carahsoft Technology Corp., through a cooperative purchasing agreement with Omnia Partners Region 4 Education Service Center (ESC) contract #R240303, and authorizes payment in an amount of FORTY-NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FOUR DOLLARS AND 08/100 DOLLARS ($49,504.08) for year one of a three-year software subscription. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated §252.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of FIFTY THOUSAND AND NO/ 100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (25%) or decreased by more than twenty- five percent (25%) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
